There wasn't an MMR reset
Yeah, on main account i have thousands of games and was legend every season. Even with 6-4 i got into low plat.
On alt account (without HOT, so was playing core thief) with few games, i went 8-2 (1 due to authorization servers going offline so i was marked as deserter although i came back and we won) and landed in gold 3.
I mean, my main account obviously had way higher MMR because despite having worse result in placement i still ended up in higher division compared to my alt account.
The mmr reset was a blatant lie ofc..lol did people really believe that? xd

Maybe there was, but it seems like it was a very very very soft reset.
Here is a quote where pvp dev mentions how your MMR for this season was calculated:
Soft reset: (Previous Rating + 1200) * 0.5
However, everyone’s deviation got reset, so your still move up and down a lot from this new rating.
