I have seen several high ranking warrior rank 40+ using this “noob slayer” combo against another high ranking player and it actually works.
So, will this “noob slayer” build be popular and viable in pvp again ?
The amount of warriors that run greatsword I can probably count on 1 hand. Since everyone almost has at least 1 stunbreaker now due the heavy cc meta I can guarantee you this build won’t even come close to being as good as hambow.

Br-Hb is so 2012. If you can’t dodge that, then l2p, seriously. Also rank doesn’t mean anything; I played against r50+ players I have never seen before after the leaderboard reset and i quickly realised why.

I think he forgot those two existed b/c they have been so bad for so long. Don’t worry though, Mesmers have been seeing a resurgence for a while and will be big after patch.
Thief is gonna be fine. Anything with stealth is always going to be viable in PvP, this is true in all MMOs.
S/D was a joke b/c it could reset the fight with no consequence. Now they can be interrupted and S/D players will have to adapt to that. This will not break the build, but bring it down to a more reasonable level.
Infusion of Shadow has been a crutch for terrible thieves for entirely too long, but is more of a WvW improvement than PvP. In PvP, it’s just a troll build.
The buff to Critical Haste is actually really interesting and since initiative is gonna be faster to recharge, I can see that really helping sword builds that benefit quite a bit from a fast auto attack.
Im excited about the thief changes and I know a lot of good thieves that are too. Sure if you were playing s/d or perma stealth you wont have your crutch any more to support your lack of skill, but my build is being buffed.
Nobody’s been killed by that since the first few months. That’s like getting killed by pistol whip…
Thieves will be fine, though it looks like they are going to need more skill to play. No more coward thieves stealthing and running away to reset the fight when their openers don’t go perfect.
The class was not designed to run away and reset fights. They even say this in the patch notes as their reasons for making the changes.
FAIL, it is designed to do so!

if you havent played thief yet , you cant understand how the utilies and weaponskills work and what traits are build up around and finally understand thief Players with their comments
NOT ALL THIEF RUNNING S/D and this patch or even the Clarification about the evades of the s/d build is just miserable …… if ist only s/d then kick the evade Animation on the 3rd skill and fine …. but …..

Mesmer certainly isn’t worse than thief. Elementalist, however, is, quite obviously, although whether or not it will surpass thief in terms of strength after the next patch is still unclear.

I qued with you yesterday on my killshot hundred bros build i was running. Its amazing on some maps like temple. I was able to instantly down 1 player from the mid fight while ledging with rifle and then bulls charge frenzy hundred bros down the player trying to res. 2 players instantly out of a mid fight? Good luck recovering from that without battle standard.
edit: the build works 100x better in team arena when you can have voice coms with a team that will help peel for you. I dont recommend it in soloque

Are people high saying 100b dosent work? Id rather have a strong 100b/Evis player than some brainless cheese pve’r any day.
I know it isnt what it was any the build has taken significant damage since release, but its still a force to be reckoned with.
edit: as for players shifting I couldnt really speculate on what might happen. You should play what you want for fun!

I find Eviscerate to be really disappointing in pvp. I’d rather have a longbow, which also gives more pressure while disengaging.
And glass war is a good “school build”, not the best around but good to learn the class very well, IMHO.
You will never be able to know what an engineer is going to do next…

30 trickery has been rendered completely irrelevant to thief, and the 1 second daze for on steal tends not to be enough to justify going fully into that tree.
There there my sweetheart, dont worry, im sure you will find a way how to continue killing people with no effort. Maybe try necro? We aint getting no big nerfs and you can still just randomly spam marks like everyone else.
