Third Solo Q game in.
Hehe that’s funny. There’s 3 top 100 players there (grimmy, karmy, reikou). I don’t recognise the other two names but I’m guessing they’re doing pretty well too. But yeah, it’s been addressed, they’ve said they’re fixing it.

Those people sync a lot
Try to avoid making things up.

Is it just a coincidence that the 3 top players are all using classes that are broken atm?
These people are not top players, just players that insist on either syncing or strictly using OP classes.
Maybe except Reikou. Thief is not really broken like the others.

Never seen any of them sync, and in fact I don’t even think it’s a thing. Except for a thing in peoples heads that lets them continue thinking that premades are the only reason they’re not rank 1. I’ve had multiple games in a row with each of them, sometimes they were on my team, sometimes on the other, rarely the same option 2 games in a row. They’re all much better players than 99% of people I see, whatever class they happen to play.
Speaking of which, Reikou plays mesmer, guardian, and thief, I’ve only seen Karmy on ranger, and Grimmy plays warrior and necro at least. Karmy is the only spirit ranger I’ve faced multiple times who regularly beats me on my necro, and that’s purely him outplaying me, because I have the advantage in that matchup. He plans his evades and condi application well, unlike most who just spam.
When you try to trash good players it doesn’t reflect very well on you.

Yeah. That seems difficult. I bet you need a lot of experience to do this.
Sry for the strong sarcasm, but please. We dont need to kid ourselves. There is not a single class in the current meta that is difficult to play.

Yet some players are doing it better than others. Stop making excuses tbh.
And you know what? It is hard to do it to the degree that these guys do it, at the pace they do it. I run 4 condi wipes on my necro yet almost always have multiple condis up when I’m facing Karmy. Because he is able to predict reasonably well how many and which condis he needs to stack before a necro will use a wipe, and he knows he can evade one of those wipes, causing it to fail (this post actually made me realise I should be targetting a spirit with it ^^). He knows to save something for use after a successful wipe to get them stacked again fast. He knows when a fear is likely to come in and will break his sword autoattack chain so that you can’t flatfoot him with it.
Ever seen someone intentionally dodge doom? There are a few people who do it all the time. All the little things like that are the difference between good players and the rest of us. Most people can’t even get the basics under control.

If you climb up to the top 100 now with a new account (without synching or other tricks), then I gotta admit you are pretty good. Currently the ladder however, seems somehow biased: in that image you have someone with rank 3 (some very new pvp player) against rank 60 (some basement dweller who lives in this game).
Basically, if the system on purpose mixes high ranked* players together, it should never pit that team against teams that are formed either randomly, or on purpose from low ranked players. Such match making is biased. Either form all teams purely randomly or pit the high ranked players only against other high ranked players.
*Think the system actually uses leaderboard ladder to mix the fights, but the issue is the same.

I’m guessing Syrkle is Cyrkles alt and one of the better players on blue. Could be someone else though.

Perhaps, but he might as well be someone who got the game today, as can that ranger. My point is: the match making is biased. If BOTH of the teams had about as many high ranked players, it wouldn’t matter that low ranked players would play along them. In fact, that would nicely test the leadership skills of these high-end players. However, when they are all cascaded to the other team against a bunch of rookies, something is wrong. It’s almost pathetic.

Yeah, the matchmaking is a bit off, which is partly what has given rise to all the accusations of syncing I think. They said earlier today that they’re fixing it.

Almost?
I think the way the system works is that it first forms teams based on elo and then looks for matches. I think it probably tries to look for teams that are similar in terms of average elo or something but if it can’t find anything in a given bracket it looks further down the line and eventually just matches whichever teams are available. This could explain why it’s possible to be matched up against these players after only a few wins.
My suggestion is to try and queue when there are more people playing so the pool of potential matchups is greater.
