Silentshoes (Thief), Wind of the Woods (condi ranger)
This drives the casuals to "Practice". Good!

they need a benchmark for new players to reach before they can queue ranked. this benchmark should have to be made on each new character made aswell. like certain # of games won or something along those lines.
Huh? This doesn’t do anything like the OP hopes. All it does it give unbalanced matches. I don’t care how good you think you are. If you are put on a team with several others who are great or poor and you compete with another team that is at the exact opposite end of the skill spectrum, that will be a blowout and not fun for either side.
Or they can do Unranked queue, and be matched up now with similarly skilled players who are also casual/just there for rank farm. I think Unranked queue is a good addition

When the matchmaking is working correctly, people will get balanced match-ups regardless of whether they play ranked or unranked. The entire point of the OP is not valid. Ultimately, people will play in “ranked” with their teams or to see how high they can get up the leaderboard solo. “Unranked” will be for top team players who want to go solo or those who want to try new team members.
The OP is talking about people who are not serious PvP players and who do not work to get more advanced in skill and strategy, but who only do sPvP for the daily reward.
The OP doesn’t make sense.
Once the system ages some, wouldn’t ‘unskilled’ ranked players just get paired against other ‘unskilled’ players? Eventually you’ll just have tiers where unexperienced players are at the bottom, experienced players are at the middle, and pro players are at the top.
Right?
Some players come for the dailies and for lawls. They just mess around till they get their random wins for the day playing with other non-serious players.
In a ranked arena of serious players, these casual daily players will not tend to get their dailies done and will be facerolled. They will gravitate to the casual “practice” area. Quick in and out. Mess around. Not serious play.
