Everytime I get on the forums its nerf this, nerf that.

Learn how to counter classes, and how to play your class better. I think pvp is pretty balanced atm if you are using the new elites. Some classes could use a couple buffs maybe but I dont think any classes need nerfed.

Please stop coming to the pvp forum and QQing because you die to certain classes.

I just come here to cheer myself up to be honest. It’s hilarious how 75% of the threads are about nerfs and 90% of the responses are “l2p.” And before some buttmad 12 year old asks where I got those numbers, I pulled them out of my behind for the sake of an example.

Just don’t take these forums seriously and you’ll be a lot less frustrated with them. The people who can’t learn to adapt/counter are the ones who turn to simple solutions like asking for nerfs. Of course, there are times then things legitimately are overpowered but it’s rarely the case.

People won’t stop begging for nerfs and acting superior by saying “l2p” then turning around and making their own nerf threads just because you ask them to. Unfortunately competitive game(s)/modes in basically any video game out there just breed this kind of mentality because not many people out there like to lose and only a few more than those that like to lose are comfortable with losing. Most people are just competitive by nature and when you start to feel inferior you want to blame it on anything but yourself.

I’m a crappy PvP’er and I know it but I also know how to improve the things I’m bad at because I recognize that I’m bad at them instead of blaming what I’m fighting. Sadly, that’s not a common way to think.

How do you feel about how people start qq threads to qq the qqers?

QQ: ers are in war against each other on this forum and current situation is that all and everything needs nerf equally so we are in a good spot ????

it’s an overused link, but sirlin has a point. winning is in the attitude you take. flipping tables & crying ‘OP’ will get you nowhere. HoT has finally brought new content to gw2 pvp & instead of learning the nuances of the new specialisations & adapting tactics many players are just campaigning for nerfs. they refuse to believe that anyone who disagrees with them isn’t having the same problems they are.

they believe that it’s the game not their play that’s causing them to eat dirt, so they think if they cry for nerfs hard enough anet will nerf everything they have trouble with so they can finally win.

is balance perfect? no, but has it ever been? & is it even that bad now?
every class but warrior has multiple tournament viable builds that all deserve spots in premades. some shaves are needed sure, & core warrior needs some serious love- but it’s not that bad. you can play anything but warrior & do really well if you’re good at the class. tbh, pvp feels like the best it’s been in a long time.

Sadly, yes, but I don’t think this thread is going to fix that issue either. PvP players tend to be . . . unique creatures.

Always make sure to have a [Packet of Salt] in your inventory, ready to be linked for the needy!

Bingo, I think you have just identified why this forum is one big QQ.

If only we were able to block players on the forum, then we could much more pleasent experience. I would start by blocking the players who put out 20-35 whine-posts a day – simply to clean out some of the clutter. And who knows – maybe it would be possible to identify the constructive posts.

actually the nerf cry is only on DH and DH main pvper trying to shift attention by shouting other class OP. in conclusion the nerf topic is only on DH and DH player saying other class op. I bet this thread is created by a DH player =) and when confronted he will say I main a thief, warrior, etc

I mean, community and devs should discuss about a little more.

Let’s start stating that if pve ( and wvw, cause it uses pve stuff ) is going to be more casual day by day, nobody cares ( and here i mean the one who want to improve their pvp experience or just play spvp ).

PvP fixes shouldn’t affect PvE, and Vice Versa.

If all classes would be at least ok in pve ( raid/dungeons ), why modify em to bring with the same build balance in both PvP and PvE?

Wouldn’t be simplier to have a different tooltip/use depending on which game modality is the player playing?

If the fix will be right, then would be a great fix, but if it will be wrong, at least the other modality will not suffer from it.

Let the community decide about something is totally wrong, but this doesn’t mean devs mustn’t listen it.

All spvp problems should be listed down, to be faced one by one.
If devs would prefer a list of meta players to work with, it would be also ok.
But somehow they should let the community know what they’re working on, and what’s the goal they want to reach.

At the moment, i see no communication at all.

But to OP, i kinda agree, i come here and forum makes me feel like everything is broken/unplayable but when i play im just having a good time no probs at all( not a DH )

Thank you for this very concise post. I was looking for some sort of opinion about how good the pvp is, since I haven’t bought HoT yet. It has just been impossible to find some sort of sensible opinion – but better late then never.
