This game needs more poison
Like… way more.
Actually here’s an idea, how about a debuff (not a condition) that decreases healing effects and you can add it to a sigil or a rune, or, you know, every single skill in the game, that’s fine too.
You can play builds that dish out a lot of poison, Rangers can be traited well for a poison build, I think someone posted their poison build in the ranger forums. Also necromancers have a few ways to deal out decent poisoning.
Sigil of Doom: when you swap your weapon, the next attack inflict 6 seconds of Poison.
Be happy.
What PvP needs at its current state is a gazillion skills like Well of Corruption.
Maybe a new one as well that instead of boons it corrupts Auras as well…

I’m Very much in favor of this and increased poison stacking. Poison was never meant to stack so almost all classes aren’t meant to apply more than 1, there was no need as duration stacking was all it was. With poisons now stacking this should have been addressed long ago.
My solution to bunkers is more Condi not nerfing survivability.

Err no, what the game needs is for bruisers to be made viable again. We need a middle point that can take on both tanks and glass and it self can be taken on by both.
Basic balance and something LoL understood long ago is that effectiveness should be like this.
Glass <<can take on>> Bruiser <<can take on>> Tank ||can take on>> Glass
And bruisers can take on them selves.
How it right now on GW2:
Bruiser <<can take on|| Glass << can take on|| Tank.
Thus net effect, everybody plays tank.
Glass and Tank are supposed to be specialists, not the norm, the average player should play bruisers but again for that to become a reality they need to be viable again.

Some of us don’t compare everything to “the days of WoW.” Nor, for that matter, let another game’s failings completely rule out the mere discussion of past conditions that had a good place in GW history.

I like a soft rock-paper-scissors approach myself. The weakness of the middle of the road very balanced guy is good defenders can take his hits while good attackers cut through him, but his attack still outclasses the defender’s and defense outstrips the attacker’s whose offensive capabilities assume he’s taking on a defender and vice versa.
The balanced guy needs to make sure he doesn’t engage a specialist on his terms but rather exploit the holes in the specialist’s understanding and capabilities while the onus is on the specialist to create a situation where his skills shine.
Guild Wars 2 has fewer skills and some different conditions for a class (thief lacks smokebomb for example that denies targeting in and out of the smokefield…maybe smokeskelk and thief can have this effect?) and other classes should be skill gated. I really like what they did with dragonhunter: create a bronzestomper where good players know how to properly counter them and the nature of the class limits good players who’d be better off switching to a higher skill and ultimately more rewarding class with the same roles.

Deep Wound is actually a condition that was cutting down HP’s of ennemies by 20% and reducing healing received by 20% aswell, which would probably not be a bad thing, could make warriors viable again, since they have no access to poison at all.

Warriors problem is not damage or the lack of it, its the lack of sustain.

Dhuumfire had a 10 second cooldown since its introduction. That only changed on the Specializations patch after it was altered to only work on Shroud 1.
