When GW2 launched i had zero lag issues in PvP. Nowadays I lag out every third game. Nothing has changed at my side.

Play an easy AOE spec and then you will be fine.

I don’t lag at all. I used to then found out there was something wrong with the wire going to my house put up a new wire and bam haven’t lagged in a year.

I was in the same boat I had friends/guildies telling me they had no lag. When I was complaining. Turned out I had a corrosion build up there a wire/cable went into a harness/splitter outside. Having the technician catch that and fix it was a game changers. Makes me laugh that so many think Anet has anything to do with it.

Yeah exactly, weird old cables only affect gw2 and no other games… sure…

shame it has terrible maintenance and updates

I never said it did. No need to attempt to disingenuously suggest I did. I simply stated sometimes folks lay blame in the wrong direction, and shared my story. Although after reading some other technical forums, I have learned that can indeed be the case because of the I formation level being transfered graphics wise.

Personally, I have had issues decline s since release. I haven’t had issues as of late at all. Which begs the question, what is different that is effect a few players and not others?

Im on kodash and I usually do some smalltalk in allchat when I wait for a new match in the mists. Other players from my server have the same problem at the same time. People said it has something to do with Anet testing the expansion, who knows.

As far as I understand it, PvP mist and PvE have nothing to do with what server your on. You are only segregated in WvW. I cannot think of a reason why only players on your WvW sever would have lag in the mist pvp lobby, when others do not. Seems odd.

There’s something up on the game’s side for sure. I’ve had games where everyone freezes up and after it ends basically everyone says something to the effect of “What just happened?”

I’ve also seen a lot of desync issues where I hit someone with Skull Crack, then a half second later they jump to where the server decides they actually are. Of course by then I missed my follow up attack.

i thought the when a player does something like that its usually them lagging, just make sure to at least talk to you ISP before you blame anet… im still without lag….

basically telekom is too cheap to extend the node that causes bottle neck every evening hence why telekom and 1&1 (reseller from telekom) customers get lag when they get routed to frankfurt (where gw2 server is located)

supposely telekom has plans on expanding their capacity but it probably will take them another 128340238402842834 years before they actually do it

so yeah, welcome to the club

known problem, check german tech forums if you are bored and wanna read 120+ pages of complains

p.s. so gw2 isn’t only game that is affected, wow, league etc. are all sitting in same boat

No, US. Also this isn’t “following suit,” everyone brings it up at once. It hasn’t happened in a little bit but it does still happen from time to time.

Well unless you all magically say it at the exact same time it’s pretty hard to prove it’s not following suit =(

I don’t think you’re understanding me. EVERYONE on the server stops attacking/moving/typing/etc. When it comes back everyone is just standing there or autoing at a wall. You’ll then get a much of map posts saying “woah lag” “Lagggggg” “wtf was that!?”

I experience it the most on private servers but I’ve had it happen on ranked at well, generally during peak hours.
