Keep getting teamed with the same awful players who don’t rotate or ‘are learning’(aka dont understand their class or the maps) or dc or go afk.

These players cause bad losses. Bad losses lower your mmr. Lowering your mmr means bad teams. Bad teams means bad losses.

I am a good player, but the math is so heavily stacked against me that it is inescapable.

I am begging to have this fixed.

I agree and feel for you. I mean that’s the least I can say. I also hope they will fix it.

I feel ya I’ve spent 5-8hours a day since league started trying to play my way out. My biggest mistake was starting out with my worst known professions and trying to do the meta achievements not realizing that every lose was hurting me in the long run

Your favorite profession is engineer. Try playing that for better results. If you wanted to play a meta class, but don’t even know how to run a good build, you will have bad results. Focus on rotations and play a class you are familiar with for ranked. I play thief with amazing results. (~70-80% win rate up until ruby, havent gone farther yet, in fact I a few pips from ruby)

I’ve flat out stopped playing solo queue or even duo or triple queue. I got to ruby without too much trouble but now most games are dumb donkeys who just go for mid regardless of the current situation. It’s definitely not fun now. I only play with players who I deem are good or I know are good so that I know that when we lose (and we will eventually), it either because the other team was better or we were slacking. But if we were slacking, at least we can work on it as a team. You can’t do that with pugs.

definitely agree I am absolutely demoralized MMR tanked nothing I can do have tried breaks teaming up everything cant do anymore!

Clearly you have to play a class that can carry more than your DH or Reaper (2 class which are weak to focus), like scrapper and rotate for your team because they will not do it.

I feel your pain OP. Some players just don’t want to know, and think they can play every game like they did there last and win.

ANET expressly created the system to make uneven matches. This is the direct result. I don’t understand why they didn’t predict the outcome.. Or was this the desired outcome for some reason?

The most basic scripter ( like myself ) should have seen this coming a mile off.

I understand your frustration. Earlier today, I witnessed one of the most baffling things I’ve ever seen in PvP. Our home node was lost to the other team, and they didn’t have anyone guarding it. I’m at mid, just finishing someone off that was trying to take it from us, and look over at home.

I see a guy from our team running towards home. He looked at it, then just ran off up to the Chieftan, leaving our home node, that was in enemy control, with literally no one defending it……

logicaly if ur mmr is low ur enemys shood be also in same range as you not only teammates? if i remember correctly it thook me 2 nights to get from amber to sapphire might have had 1 loss in total between amber to sapphire now im in second tier in diamond mostly soloqueing teamed up with friends when eny online.

This is the issue, because it is not the case. The matchmaker forms two teams that are within 15 pips of each other. The players on each team have a similar MMR, but the mmr of the two teams is completely unrelated-usually resulting in blowouts.

@OP: Let me guess. You are in Ruby. That division is the worst for matchmaking because you have a lot of people who grinded that far, but have no hope of ever making it to diamond.

Yes, that would be logical, but it isn’t the truth. The system teams similar mmr, then picks a very different mmr team and matches the two.

The claim was that this would quickly clear the more skilled players to the higher tiers. My issues are that;

It didn’t work and it is pretty much pre ordaining the outcome of matches.

How is that competitive or fair?

ive been in ruby for 1 week now 2 pips away from diamond somedays im 20 pips away the biggest problem is that team m8 never targets same or just rotates stupid like wants to help close when its 1vs1 at close and then all of sudden its 4 guys r at close to kill just 1 guy

still emerald over a week – have lost will to live don’t care now when I enter the match so much apathy might as well toss a coin – wont give up but with MMR in the toilet not much hope

Just got teamed with a shappire and ruby vs. full diamond team. Due to a diamond on our team decided to 3 man with those 2. Lost by 47 and still lose a pip. Awesome.
