I was thinking instead of a gold sink for traits in PvP, why not tie it into a tutorial? For each new GM in the game have an objective the player has to complete in PvP to earn it. This way you force players to learn the actual tactics of each map. I said it in another post, but I can’t tell you how many times I have had conversation with players who don’t know what “Stillness” does in Temple of the Silent Storm. I am not talking single digit ranked players either. Conversations with players in the 20’s and 30’s that shouldn’t be queuing in Solo much less in Team Queue.
Suggestion
Earning New GM Traits requires players to complete map specific goals in PvP.
Example
“In order to earn the following traits you must capture Stillness in Temple of the Silent Storm. Your team receives double points for each captured point. Comes at 11:30, 8:30, 5:30. The following Traits will be unlocked upon successful completion: Elementalist: Aquatic Benevolence Engineer: Fortified Turrets Guardian: Force of Will Necromancer: Unholy Sanctuary Mesmer: Power Block Ranger: Read the Wind Thief: Invigorating Precision Warrior: Dual-Wield Agility "
Different traits could be assigned to different things. I don’t think gold is the way to go for PvP. I also don’t think that doing things in PvE is good for PvP either. PvP needs a tutorial and this does that.
maybe someone has a better idea. I am just trying to think of things that could help the community and make PvP better.

Also, these should have to be completed in hotjoin so people aren’t trying to unlock a certain set of traits that require killing the Keep Lord and they all just rush it right at the start in Team Queue lol.
