I disagree that the game would pick the winner by measuring which team had the highest point average. If one team plays the map strategically to attempt to win over the game but end up tieing it, they will very well lose according to matchmaking. There is no adequate way to measure an individual player’s skill in this game… 99% of the time, individual player score means zilch. So why keep the these matchmaking rules at all?
If a team allows the other to reach a tie game, they’re equally at fault. Likewise, if the other team plays well to force a tie, they should be rewarded for even getting that far.
I think neither team should receive a point loss on a tie game.

It may not be high priority, but it should be an easy fix. Either remove the pip loss or give a win for the tie.

I don’t think a win would work. People would deliberately try to tie the game to get a pip. Players would try to turn matches into a HoT join daily arena. There’s already enough trolls in the leagues as it is.
A tie should be a wash no one wins a pip and no one loses a pip and/or there needs to be an overtime where the tie can be broken.
obviously, they want personal scores to matter, hence, the removal of “bunkier” amulets.
