Dear devs, you wanted the warrior to be “viable” in your book, by giving him more sustain, ok that was your choice although not the wisest.

Now warriors got a great set of viable builds using all weapon sets and I’m fine with it too.

The problem is the official “meta” warrior build , a mix of bunker, burst and control; we’re not talking about a balanced build that can do a little of everything, we’re talking about a proper bunker that can switch to burst and provide huge amounts of support through massive aoe CC.

Basically this warrior build offer close to the level of tankiness of a guardian while having superior burst compared to a s/d thief, only a mesmer offer more burst in this situation.

Based on past balance patches it’s safe to assume that for Anet is not fine to have a bunker with dmg and mobility…do you remember the d/d ele right?

But now we’ve got the warrior….

Except you can 1 v 1 the warrior, they are almost useless in team fights once they use their 10 seconds of berserker’s stance, and if they want mobility they have to use greatsword which makes them even worse in team fights although they gain mobility.

But unfortunately, most soloq games today are about teams with 3 warriors/guardians, each sitting on a shrine.

You can easily win, but it depends too much on your team composition. I wouldn’t mind however having a different capping system( most from a team on a shrine = hold it), so that players would have to follow others to not let them recap shrines.

Sitting on a shrine with these kind of builds require no form of skill in my opinion, and i’m not sure it brings a lot of fun to anyone.

They are probably more tanky then a guardian. What makes a guardian a great bunker is not just good survivability but all the buffs and healing they can provide as well. Even a good guardian bunker if he doesn’t get help can get worn down in a couple minutes by a good dps. Some of these warriors builds you can’t budge there health as a single player its absurd. This stuff is exasperated in solo q when you can’t count on help from your team half the time because people are clueless.

Some builds can 1v1 a warrior, but unless you are built to put out relatively high damage it is not killable. Granted, good players will always run viable builds mitigating this issue, but a properly set up HS Warrior is unkillable to the vast majority of possible builds in this game regardless of how badly it is played. I don’t see it as a major problem, but very strong highly passive builds like this are not good for the game in my opinion.

The lack of ability to contribute at a team fight is one of the major things that make this build less of an issue in high level play than it is in low level play, but not everyone is up to your level. Having played against you I am reasonably certain that you will struggle against these warriors less than most because you are a kitten fine player, but the game needs to be fun for more people than it currently is, and eliminating this kind of cheese is necessary to make tPvP more appealing.

In my mind Warriors, like all other classes, are not perfectly balanced, although i think they are actually one of the best and kind of a reference to the balance other professions should have.

I agree HS need to be toned down (lower the base healing but upping the Healing Modifier) as i agree on a lot of other changes, but considering Unsuspecting Foe in itself i think its fine and probably just needs to be moved to Master.

On that subject, i think Traits like UF are beneficial to the game:, they are what i call “IF Traits”, traits that you have to actively meet a condition to make it trigger. That adds skill to the game and purpose to builds other than just putting the “best” passive traits.

ANet just needs to settle on what’s the role of a Warrior in a team, do that to all other professions, and just balance accordingly.

the problem with the balance is also that anet doesent separate gamemodes like spvp and wvw. the awarrior was always good in wvw, always important and most commanders ran it. now in spv the warrior was a mess and not viable at all. the buffs made him very very powerful in spvp due to having high stability and high cc while haveing massive healing and toughness and dps.
this has destroyed wvw class balance.

all u see is warrior/ guardian trains and then ele and necro.
mesmers are epic in 1v1 and roaming but in wvw right now u barely see any at all. reason: u nerfed our confusion which was the only multi target zerg wvw build and our retal builds into oblivion without giving us anything back in return. now im stuck as a squishy weak veilbot for the kitten warrior trains.
this is not fun and no balance at all!
or do u hate mesmers that much? ill be happy to give u all my 1v1 skills all my stupid clones and phantasms that die in 1 second in a zerg anyways, and get something back that works vs zergs!
