Time to nerf dragon hunter traps again

Pretty much what Trev said. DH on it’s own isn’t a problem, so if it gets nerfed again, the class will just be completely obsolete. It’s the class stacking that’s the problem.
And then people wonder why guardian mains get frustrated. I really liked Booms post in the thread suggestion for cast time on DH traps.
Traps need a change to reward active play. I think that they should nerf the passive activation but add an active activation skill that has more benefit than what they give right now.
Other than that the only ones I ever have problems with is Maw, which always tells me to focus the DH that cast it for the rest of the match since they will definitely be the best target without renewed focus.

DH is a bit weak right now, in honesty. I think most DH players would agree to add a cast time to traps IF its vitality, damage, utility, and general survivability were improved.

Ive also found stacked Necros to be really annoying too, but at the end of the day what’s really annoying is getting stupid teammates that refuse to rotate and insist on running in one at a time to the enemy team sitting on point

This cant even be fixed easily because, if you buff guard sustain through traits, you will start to see how broken traps are, buff it through utilities and traps will not see play at pro level.

Even in diamond/legend it is a massive liability assuming similar skill level players on both sides.
Maybe in your potato sapphire leagues it is scary scary but as people realize they have a dodge key in higher leagues DH isn’t so threatening and is considered free food.

Not just pro level, just coordinated play in general, in solo, a lot of people leave the DH a lone and wonder why the DH traps are a problem,when the DH is focused then things are very different.
There are a lot more dragon hunters in higher tier league than there are revenants for instance but revenants are still considered to be the good class even though majority of players are running around with condi builds.
Its either you are a condi meta sheep which obviously would kill a DH or you can’t play DH which is a l2p issue

It’s not only Dh. Any class, if stacked, can cause a lot of trouble.. Please stop asking for DH nerfs, it’s already weak as it is. It needs a complete rework (not only because of PvP, that class is totally broken because of so many bugs), not another nerf (or shout buff..).
But well, nobody at Anet cares about guardians, it seems.

People spamming 2-4 guardians a team then mass dropping aoe fields/ pulls and barriers to keep you in them. Its rediculous

I bet its the same people who want vale guardian nerfed…
Some people will just be bad at this game, no matter what.
Guardian has been driven to trash tier by these same people and unless Anet stops taking into account casual/bottom tier player’s opinions, the game won’t change

And Im not comparing a class to an entire comp, Im saying that DH cannot offer anything to your team against a meta comp, which is how comps are decided
You just gotta watch out for where the traps are and not walk into them. And dodge out, blink out, whatever to avoid them. If not then go into a defensive rotation while theyv’e got you in there. DH is fine. Just practice mate. Get better.
I don’t have a problem with ppl laying a bunch of traps and pulling you back I to them that’s smart gameplay my issue is he cast time u can run into a point trigger traps and dodge out really fast but if they’re off cool down a guard can insta cast them again on some points on a map this can be really bad bc to avoid them you have to completely give up point control bc now there are two sets of traps that went off simultaneously. Rangers and thieves have cast times on their traps dh’s should too it would really allow for a different dynamic instead of quick spamming them. Else wise might as well make ranger and theif traps instant as wel since they’re no where near as good it might make hem more viable.

A meta comp is a bunch of meta builds so for you to say a meta comp is better than a DH, well yes, because you’ve just put 5 players running meta builds against one class.
The most dangerous thing about DH isnt longbow, its the traps. Some classes counter them easily, some dont, some builds counter them easily and some dont. Guard isnt the only class with a projectile weapon so if projectile hate really was the reason, then using a ranged weapon would automatically cause your class to be “trash tier”.
A decent DH doesnt even use longbow half the time, same thing with anyone that has a ranged weapon.
This is pretty much why i said the DH is trash tier songs is just mob mentality, most dont really know why DH is bad, could it be better, yes, but it is not nearly as bad as people say it is. Just like warrior, warrior on paper season 1 and 2 really wasnt bad, sustain was the problem, they needed a slight sustain boost, they got it and now look at warrior. Blind buffs will break DH and blind nerfs will kill DH.

Man, where I’ve said anything about a 1v5? Im growing tired of your kitten already. What Im saying is that against a meta comp DH isn’t going to offer anything to your team, while other classes yes. And ofc a DH is supposed to “camp” LB, are you trying to say that they will achieve better dmg with a sword?

People are already complaining about queue times. There needs to be a pre-match but post-group mechanic that diversifies professions. Otherwise queues will take even longer than they are now.
DH will be trash tier until they give it:
F2 – evade 1 sec – nerfing heal by 15%
F3 – 45 sec CD
F4 – Passive 25% movement speed – active 1 sec daze or 5 sec weakness – 20 sec CD
or
trait – 25% movement speed while having aegis.
DH/Guard is only class without 25% passive speed – 4 years of traveler runes we just don’t know any other runes.
Saddly weak and unskilled players will die to traps so expect 4 more years of traveler runes.
