When I respawn in a match, I am never quite sure how to best help the team as I leave the base.

I currently play a thief And I focus on two things: 1) flip any points and start the score ticking for my team, and 2) Plus-1 any important fights.

Who can share some good tips on using the MiniMap to get a fast idea of where to go?

What do you instantly look for?

This is a good strategy! Aside from looking at the minimap and trying to figure out how to do one of these two things, the best advice I have is trying to communicate with your team.

I know typing while in a match is often impossible (and few people who soloQ try to use teamspeak), so try to encourage your team to use ping or lines on the minimap if they’re able, and do the same for them. They should be aware that you’ve been defeated and are about to respawn. Someone on your team may have a vantage point that lets them see a fight they need help with before joining. If they can make a big red ping for you, teammate who has recently respawned, you can know to join them there and be that help.

Try to use that setup time before a match to talk about this kind of thing. Even when I’m teamed with people who don’t speak my language, they know what that red flashing circle means.

You should probably flip the priority. It’s very hard to take a point solo unless you can look at the mini map and know there is no one guarding a point or likely close enough to stop you from an easy cap. +1 to fights is the main priority. Sure if you know a point is unguarded you pop there and take it. Also, a good thing to do is watch videos I know I am a person that learns a lot more by watching what good players do rather then reading about how they do it.
