Heyo folks, brackets for Q1 NA Are up, get them while they’re hot

EU Brackets will be available (from the same page, just look for Europe Qualifier 1 on the sidebar) a little bit later today, were just waiting for confirmation from a few more teams before we go forward with seeding it. The rest of the brackets for Q2, 3, and 4 should be available early next week.

The schedule for play on the day of each qualifier is now also available on this page so if your team is playing, especially this weekend, please read up! An email will also be sent out tonight giving out server info for this weekend’s teams.

Ill see if I can summon a minion to do it, if not if I get some spare time Ill see about adding in players, it is a bit of a time consuming process but Ill see if we can swing it.

Without player names the default teams from quickly glancing at it to make it past Q1 is elusive and maybe joo binder, but I guess it depends on who is on the other teams since there’s really no correlation between team name and players involved.

The first qualifier bracket is full, yes. He did, however, mention that all NA teams that signed up were invited. There are still three others qualifiers.

I’m confused by your question. You’re asking if the first bracket is full and if you’re team isn’t in that then you’re out. If your team isn’t in that then your team is in #2, #3, or #4.

He said spots are given on a first-come first-serve basis.

The total slots available have been filled but with hundreds of teams that register, many being pve players who show a dull interest in actually showing up, many of the teams either do not appear at the event, or fail to respond to the invitation.

So if he literally closed registration at 100 (for the hypothetical) and 70 teams don’t reply to RSVP, and 10 of those that did RSVP don’t show up for the tournament, then only 20 teams would be left…

It makes sense to me.

That doesnt’ change the fact that teams don’t show up and he works his way down the reserve list to fill those spots instead of giving teams byes.

Furthermore he only posted the brackets for Q1 NA brackets.

Meaning that’s less than 13% of the total teams in this tournament. He has yet to release the other 7 bracket pools.

We, TCS, are in the fourth bracket, means even if we win two matches, we are up against 55HP Monks, and there is no way in hell that outcome is going to be in our,nor anyone’s favor…

What shocked me a bit though is that BooN has a high chance of not being in the tournament as they applied for it a bit late (Got this from Fake)
That is a kitten shame, they are my favourite team to see play

I mean, I get the first come first serve system, after all a lot of teams were going to apply, but it does make me a bit sad to realize that I am going to play tonight, while teams like yours cannot…

Again, I get it, I get it, after all everyone deserves a chance, and part of the chance is being on time… Still, I was hoping to see you play again…

Well, forget everything I said…

One of our teammates had a last minute vacation, so we got our sub instead… No biggies, up untill another member decided to not show up at all…

Got a DC last tournament in the first round, and this time aroind we did not even start… I guess fate does not allow us to play…

Just looked at na 2 and im wondering if there are any known/good teams in that bracket? Are the last 2 weeks going to have 3-4 good teams while the first 2 weeks have all the new teams?

The team “No Clue” are actually pretty good. They’ve beaten Blacklisted a few times (some really close games) and have given the go to “super pug teams” like the “Ouplayed by Children” style comp a good run in recent tournaments. I expect this team to make it pretty far.

Megalodonger Confirmed is a VERY strong team, as you’ll see when we add the account names. No Clue is also quite good, as Eurantien has said. Team Holy, Japan Thailand Croatia, and Tournament Ticket all have some good players, but I expect Megalodonger and No Clue to be going to the finals.

Also, team rosters have been added for both EU and NA qualifiers. We are working on the Qualifier 3 brackets now.

After seeing the rosters I’m betting on Japan Thailand Croatia and No Clue for this qualifier.

You think that they can beat Megalodonger? That’s Kaypud, Rar, Quilja, Supcutie, and an alt (we’ll let you guess who that one is). I’ve got nothing against Japan Thailand Croatia, but they’ve got some real competition.

All of them… They hover at about the top 50-100 IIRC.

Of course Rar Quil Kay and Sup are very strong, but based on the players and traditional comp match-ups for what they’re best at I think Japan can pull the upset on them.

Although I admit part of the reason I didn’t guess that they will advance is because I didn’t realize they had an alt on their roster and just assumed it was someone they were carrying.

Also, I mistakenly thought Karmy was on their roster and I consider Karmy one of the top 5 players NA. After looking again he’s obviously not on their roster, but it will still be interesting to see how they do. Plus it’s always fun to root for at least one non-seeded team, even though these are of course just light seedings.

What comp does Japan play?

I know Sidly generally runs Engineer, Rezz generally runs Ranger, and Yuyu generally runs Warrior. I’m not sure about the other two.
