Am I reading the description right? Given 118500 Glory and 15g80s I can take a new, lvl 1, character all the way up to lvl 80?

Yup…. you can buy yourself to lvl 80 now.

The only thing missing is a way to buy glory, unless there is and I just don’t know about it.

Nah,you can;t buy glory though.You’l have to earn something :p

spam hot joins, you’ll get a pretty nice amount of glory and also 5s (310 games and you have 15g 50s)
and if you’re getting around 370 glory per game that is also 310 matches to reach the 118 glory! (i’m not actually 100% sure on how much glory you get per game, but its pretty good)

also if the average game lasts 10 minutes then 310 games will be 51 hours, not bad for 1-80 without any of the regearing, questing, story work

Buy your way to 80? As though you couldn’t have done it running quests outside of pvp much faster? As though you couldn’t farm the gold to do it with tradeskills faster? This is part of their ongoing series on adding benefit to pvp, I welcome changes like this. Running a pvp char for 100 hours and having nothing to show for it except a little tag on leaderboards was silly.

It’s pretty normal to be able to level up in pvp in other mmorpgs, I don’t see why it should be different for gw2.
