In PvP, there are too many immobilizers, invulnerabilities and knockdowns on too short cool-downs.

It feels like every single profession is just endlessly spamming these, and I think it negatively impacts the game because other skills are consequently deemed inferior and are therefore unused, and it also forces others into using specific traits/builds in order to simply avoid being knocked around like a rag doll the entire match.

yes they do it’s active defence, when you are examining the floor they can spam you to death. stunbreaks will only help once, but hammer users can have 3 or 4 CC’s in seconds

23 lvl 80’s, 9 times map, 4ele, 4ncr, 3war, 3grd, 3rgr, 2thf, 2msm, 1eng, 1 rev.
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.

Depends a lot on the team comp, some really do have an obnoxious amount if CC and unfortunately we don’t get a ‘Defiant’ buff to save us.

It’s mostly a L2P issue though. Aside from developing basic PvP skills, with experience you’ll develop the ability to recognize which classes pose the greatest immediate threat and how to counter and/or avoid the worst of their attacks. Invulnerability, stability and timed dodges make a world of difference.

It does get annoying being juggled around, especially since the only way I can counter (as a necro) is to pop my elite skill with 120 second cooldown.

I’ve almost got the “Legendary Champion” title.

Obviously, there are a lot of factors that need to come together to create this feeling of too much CC. But frankly, regardless of whether certain people have “a problem” with it, does come down to a great deal to build – stun breaks etc.

As I was saying, unless you sacrifice a slot or two (or trait) for those stun breaks, with every profession just spamming CC, its just an unpleasant, un-fun experience, and forces people into making those sacrifices.

Longer cool downs on the CC.

What about Summon Flesh Wurm, Plague Signet, Spectral Armor, Spectral Walk, and Well of Power? These utilities are all listed as stun breakers for necro not to mention the trait foot in the grave which turns death shroud into a stun breaker with a relatively short cool down. I mean yah you gotta sacrifice something else if you want one but that’s just how it is, you can’t always have everything lol, just gotta go with what works best for you.
