Too much of everything in GW2
You miss out too LITTLE variety of BUILDS and too LITTLE choice of mix and match like PvE. (Amulet stats wise)

That’s a given. Fix the things listed and I’m sure those will be alleviated somewhat

hey fix those things and it would solve ghe whole meta
Before everyone cries about how wrong I am I would like to make a few points.
Guild Wars 2 has too much dodging, too much boon spam, too much automatic condition removal, too much conditions, too much damage.
You forgot too much CC. And no, I’m not only saying this because CC wars are popular right now. I always had that feeling.
Oh and too much AoE and AI too
The topic is “Too much of everything” after all. And there actually really is too much of everything…
There is too much gear grinding, and too much achievements, and too much things to do as well.

lol.

I completely agree waka, unfortunately, that would require an insane overhaul of the whole game from the ground up (which won’t happen) or insane man hours spent on the separation between pve and pvp, almost too the point that the game is jaw-dropping different (which is also highly unlikely). I am talking months and months and months of work with a clearly defined vision and goal of what pvp design should look and feel like. The pvp population is small, highly demanding, and not rewarding from a monetary standpoint. Therefore, the decision makers will keep pumping resources into pve because its a profitable and predictable revenue stream for the company. It’s a business decision.

Too much of everything like pvp updates we get those way to much.
Stunned Girls Can’t Say No <Hawt>
Good thread. I think there are two thoughts devs need to seriously consider when looking at spvp: less is more and editing is good.
/agree
will not happen for a long time (or ever). look at the pace they fix bugs and introduce basic features, now imagine them investing time and effort to overhaul stuff that already exists and technically works. i’d imagine it to be very low priority.
Just posting to add my voice to those who agree.
I made that thread recently about auto attacking needing to be weaker, it’s basically just a small part of what you said, it’s a flaw that’s existed since release. Just way too much spamminess of EVERYTHING and leaves no room for actual thought.
It’d be like Hearthstone if you drew 5 cards per turn and every had 1 mana cost, just a complete clusterbleep.
No reason for me to ever time my conditions/boons/cc’s right, in same cases CC’s need to be timed but not nearly as much as they should be.
All of this also affects PVE and even WvW so IMO it should be top priority for Anet since it affects the ENTIRE game and is part of what dumbs it down so much.
Imagine if you had to actually time boon strips, CC, and certain conditions like chill/weakness/poison optimally to beat a boss or kill another player and it became a game of strategy like a CCG, which is how it should be, but with that action playstyle. It would be amazing.

Congratulations, you just invented Guild Wars 1 (which was influenced by Magic: The Gathering).
