pls not, if you farm top r30 in hotjoin you are likely to be way worse than a r10 taht got his rank in tournaments. There are already way to mayn “hotjoin heros” in tournaments and r40 is now more like the old r1…..
I agree with this guy, people going from rank 1 to 30 in hotjoins is bad. You should start out at rank 1 while in tpvp that way you become a lot better at rank 30 in tpvp.
Also agree that you should get -2 glory when not fighting against more than 2 people on a node, because people shouldn’t be bunkering nodes and most of time 1 guy will go far, and you shouldn’t waste your time fighting, better to give him a free node and go elsewhere.
One thing I’m really impressed about is how great these tpvp servers are, I know it can be rough to handle 10 people in a game, but I only experience lag spikes or skill lag 2-6 times a game. I have 50MB of internet SHF satellite connection so it isn’t my end. Very impressed with there servers though!!!

I will keep it short;
1) Minimum rank requirement 30+.
2) Week PvP ban for leaving prematurely.
3) -2 Glory for every second you’re on a point, and not in combat with 2 or more people.
4) No Glory if you lose a game, double if you win.
5) Limited amount of classes in Solo Q – 4 Thiefs in the same team cause terrible randomize feature is pointless.!start vote
- Would kill tPvP Population, increase queue time, and produce R30 that more clueless than R1-10s
- How you gonna deal with people that D/C?
- Gonna produce less bunkers & more zergers
- A form of this might work in sPVP to reduce akitteng, but current system already reward winning. 200 for winning bonus.
- Depending on how matchmaking system prioritize profession diversity in matches it might produce longer queues for some people. They gotta learn sometime somewhere that 5x thieves on a team doesn’t work in tourney lol.
In general Anet wants to widen the pvp population through positive reinforcements/rewards, not negative punishments or setup barriers to entry. If you were GW2 head moncho and implemented all of your suggestion the backlash would be unimaginable and might just kill tPVP.

1.) Makes no sense. Rank indicates nothing but time spent in the Mists. I am rank 11 but I read the forums plan builds and play 1-2 matches per night focusing on improving my game. I’m no pro but I have a clue how to actually play and now try to do 5v5 whenever I can.
2.) Maybe make this after more than 2-3 per days
3.) The maps are conquest not Deathmatch. Players should be fighting on points and guarding what they have.
4.) Agree but all or nothing is a bit absurd as you expect people to have rank 30 to join tournaments. The whole ranking system would need to be revamped for this to work.
5.) I think its ok as is. Annoying but maybe it will encourage people to form teams and not mindlessly soloqueue.

I don’t want to be teamed with someone improving there game, I want to be teamed with people around my rank.
If only they made it so every 10 ranks when you que’d say at rank 40 you’d be on a team with nothing but rank 40-49, and if it puts me against rank 10-19, you can then talk about rank not meaning kitten when you get your kitten handed to you.
If they had a system like that I would always be looking forward to getting to the next tier of rank. Because you know you’ll win more games because you have people that already have there game down and not “improving it, working on it”.
