As the title says, why were the 4 tournament tickets from losing on Legacy of Foefire replaced with Qualifying Points? Qualifying Points have 0 use, are very very bad replacement for an ELO ladder rating and the whole thing received a lot of negative feedback from the community.

Now instead of getting 4 tournament tickets with which we can get back in and try again – thus promoting actual gameplay, we are forced to either farm free tournaments ( yay fun stomping non-premades ) or sit at the forge.

Are you actually trying to make paid tournaments a crafting game for the people that are not in the top teams?!
The PVP community didn’t ask for forging, gem lottery – they are nice – but it just seems that you trying to dazzle us to hide the real problem.
Premades want to play versus other premades. Why are you trying so hard to make that NOT happen?

My team is a low-medium team and we have a player who joined the game later. He is only rank 20, unlike the rest of us rank 35+. So he doesn’t have as many arcane orbs/tickets as the rest of us. He likes to use his free time doing WWW, when not doing Paid Tournaments. Now he is out of tickets and we can’t have him join anymore unless he farms sPVP or we farm free tournaments. Is he supposed to quit WWW to farm sPVP because of your bad decisions?

On another note, why wasn’t there a reduction put in place from 5 Tournament Tickets to 3? I think the initial post from Jon Peters about paid tournaments said 3 Tournament Tickets, but it was stealth incresed to 5.

It just seems that most of the time when the community agrees for a change on something, you just go ahead and tackle that matter in a complete different and worse way.

1 ticket per day doesnt make any difference.. its nice boost but you can´t live from it..

The problem here is actually very simple. PAID tournaments are not accessible for all premades, they are accessible only for hardcore ones. Thats fine as long as medium and low ranked premades still have something to do. But here we have nothing to do.

We can try PAID and run out of tickets sooner or later (lottery doesnt help either) or go to free tournament where we are FORCED to play against PUG players..

I do not like that either. As a student I choose GW2 because it does not have any monthly fees. Though supporting such a nice game with a few euros would be not that bad. But the price is just to high. 1 Euro for 5 Tickets? Seriously? That’s just to much money for that. The entry fee for paids should be lowered to 1-2 Tickets, then people would consider buying them instead of stomping PUGs in Free Tourneys.

140 orbs + 6000 glory + 125 powder + 5 crystals + 1 sliver = 5 tournament tickets and 1 sliver
