According to this official news a new Tournament of Legends will begin soon with 128 teams in total (unknown yet how many reserved slots).

-First Impression, too much time invested for little return. Actually I take that time invested back. The competition is so non existent that you could get 5 competent players, practice for a day and have a high success rate to win.

-Will I participate? No, see answer to question 1.

-Do I have a team? No….But I can get 5 randoms and call it a team like everyone else does…

What professions do you think will be most fun in this tournament? 5 Mesmers.

What team do you think will win this tournament and why? The team that will win is one of the 128 “according to you”, obviously.

The issue with the tournament is that there are only 4 teams or so in each region that have any chance to win. There aren’t many good teams and the teams that are good are way better than everyone else.

Extra tournaments are fine when there is a competitive scene, are fine when the general spvp structure is solid, but this is not the case.

No chance to win, no chance to get legendary or precursor and the unique reward is a joke.

You have more chances to get a precursor if u are a spectator instead of playing lol

My guild formed a team a bit ago but realistically we can’t win legendaries, will go for fun and hopefully win some other stuff. Does anyone know how many backup players are allowed though, since we might need a few to switch out frequently ( busy irl).

Also, how about forming a tournament of legendary beginners anet? No high profile teams allowed :S

Exactly.

Its the other way around now. They are trying to create an epic finale without having a season or competition to back it up.

We need seasons/leagues ….and we need them fast. The game keeps losing a lot of teams and players that couldve ended up being super competetive untill this happens.

They really need to push out seasons, or other forms of incentives for team queues. Get the already low PvP population to form teams and get better at PvP. Only then will these tournaments be worth watching with at least some form of competition outside of the top 4/8.

My first impression:

All matches will be hosted on the weekends, with qualifying matches beginning in July.

I hope we can participate, without having to be available every weekend of July.

well, it seems to me pvp is dead. And is really unfair for other players who want to join the tournament and can’t find team. I am currently looking for team:( How sad. If you are still looking for team please pm me thx a lot
