Tpvp feels dead-- Takes hours to find any team
There is an lfg function under contacts. And I’d recommend if you’re struggling finding a team of 5 just solo que a tournament, it’s exactly the same as finding 5 random players, right? And you’ll get a game in 5 seconds.
pff sry but good player wont play random.
nobody want to play with randoms VS premade guildgroups.
The game is since 28.8 released. Of course many Pugs/premades were created.

Yes tPVP seems dead, it wasn’t ~3 weeks ago. Same as sPVP, I can only see 11-12 full 16/16 slot servers and only 30 with 2 or more players in them.
Intel i7 3770K @ 4.5GHz | 8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 ram | Gigabyte R9 280X 3GB (14.2)
Win 8 Pro 64bit
During EST primary hours (6pm+ ish) I see a lot of games in the browser and tPvP usually kicks off under 20 seconds of queing.
Darkhaven server.
Darkhaven server.
Server doesnt matter in pvp

Then I don’t know what the problem is because there are plenty of servers up during prime time.
I think there is less players in sPvP (tPvP) but as a result of no competition. They may be at WvW or playing PVE or even playing different game till competition is implemented.
I believe this is the reason most of the streamers just stopped – check this out – http://eternalmists.net/streams# offline streams – lot of them is offline 2weeks +. Its just simply there is no progress, no motivation to play more. Without competition.
so people get bored, and get back to their games. After we get ladder and some publicity, then lot of them will probably come back.
Anyway, its still far far away from deadh game. Tournements are poping regulary without waiting.. so not a big issue.. the only problem is – to have party (if you are casual)
The number of GW2 streams on twitch.tv has dropped dramatically too.

i dont know why anyone bothers streaming or running premades right now when 90% of your matches are pug stomping. I’m struggling to find a reason to login this past week+ without match making. Feels like if you solo queue you end up getting stuck in 5v4s or facing a premade. If you run a premade you stomp most of your matches to the point of boredom.

Use #GW2Ringer, the more people there are, the more use there is.

I think more people need to get into sync queuing. I notice a bunch of teams doing this and enjoy watching them (at least until I can join in myself). This is the best we can do right now but you sync with at least 4 teams your going to get some good games in.

Tournaments. Not spvp.
I think basically what’s happened is that we’ve been waiting excitingly for this game for quite some time, and everybody was doing their favorite thing for hours and hours. Now they are bored of it.
And BTW, I wouldn’t recommend joining a random team. Random teams get crushed against pre-made teams, and some don’t even communicate.
Run your own pug, there are plenty of options out there for free VOIP servers—you can get a five man instantly.

Yep.
Something is fundamentally wrong… I’m afraid paid tournaments and private servers will do little now. Both are good ideas, but don’t address the real problem:
Conquest isn’t fun. Period, else it would be thriving.
Conquest forces communication, responsibility, leadership, and loyalty…
Pugs and casuals don’t wanna do that! And when those things aren’t there, the mode is a total mess! So now you gotta be in tpvp premades with a headset for ‘real competition’, and even then it becomes all about outnumbering people, which frustrates the hell out of us by reducing all our skill and effort to futility in seconds flat. The fights are never fair.
Conquest is a mode for highly organized teams who want something else to focus on besides fighting. And even those players wanna be able to play viably by themselves sometimes… it should have been Phase II!
Phase I: straight-forward, even battles with no other demand but fighting (ARENA)
I know Anet has some brilliant minds (compartmentalized in favor of e-sports)

Needs to be more structure to building tPVP groups other than people shouting “lfm” in the map. The LFG function does pretty much nothing and I never see people flagged even on JQ. Furthermore would like to see more structure for LFGuild… even EQ2 has a guild advertisement/recruitment feature in game. With better guild recruitment features the more tPvP matches there will be.
As far as voice communications… lots of games now have built in voice com. channels in the game (EQ2 again, EVE, etc). Would think features like this would be in a game called Guild Wars.

This post x100.
Pugs don’t want to RELY on others to play the game (not to be mistaken with pure casuals). Personally I hate all of the drama and job-like feeling ranked PvP matches create in MMOs.
I play to have fun and play how I want. Whether that’s team playing, back capping, ninja defending, or whether I want to be a roamer looking for fun 1v1 or 2v2 fights, or trying to rack up the most points that game, have the most captures, whatever. I want to decide that, and so do a lot of people.
That’s why I only play hotjoin. And will only ever join free tournaments once the system only allows for pugs to join. I can rank up and get glory just fine (probably faster) in hotjoin. I got my full Armageddon set from bonus chests you get from ranking up. I don’t feel the need to gloat over rankings in a video game to others so… /shrug

They are not fast enough with balancing fixes. It forces players to give up on the game for a while because they don’t see any improvements.
Get a guild that tourneys, problem solved, very simple, my guild does premades all the time
Not for me. I never needs to wait longer than 5 mins.
maybe to PUG a tourney in primetime solo queuing u can get a decent fast pop… and then lose horribly
yay?
I can’t find a tpvp guild since nobody wants to show up without rankings
where are you btw? europe us or asia?
pobably because it’s a huge pile of dissapointment and few who enjoy pvp still play this game (in it’s current state.)
Of course there are less players, because the game has loads of issues especially in pvp…the balance is just a joke when you dont play the regular FOTM builds or classes.
Besides that GW2 is disappointing for a lot of players, either the repeating events in pve or the lack of actually GUILD wars.
