I will rage at them simply because its anti-fun. It is causing me to curse other people. Whats even sad is I am not sorry at all for what I’ve done.

Don’t lie, I know some people feel the same way as I do. Call it PMS/QQ thread or tell me to deal with it, trebuchet damage needs to be nerfed OR repair kits need to have a 5 minute cool down timer just so you have to be skilled at defending trebuchets to make the most out of it.

Because right now, Kylho is a joke. A sad joke.

I always found Kylho to be a bit interesting because of the treb. Mostly due to the fact that those who use the treb will dominate the match. It sticks out from the rest of the maps due to the ability to kill half of the enemy team from across the battlefield. But honestly, it’s a stationary target which can be taken out by 1-2 people. It should always be prioritzed after taking the first flags AND directly after it has been repaired.

.. Huh? Just kill the trebuchet? It’s often a very nice 1v1.

I find the map very interesting with a change of gameplay.

Treb doesn’t fight back, and it is a quick stationary kill. Why wouldn’t you kill it following every repair or even killing the repair kit carrier? Oh, because you’re too busy whining that your team stupidly left it alive.

Have fun losing.

Perfekt example of: casual balance vs competitive balance
you the casual want a nerf. most competitive teams want a buff. because 1 ele skill kills it.. YOU cant defend a treb…
+ you can dodge the treb. some zeams dont even bother for the treb. tehy just dodge it. and play 4vs5 … one enemy has to use the zreb.. so you losing one man on point and zreb cant hit you…
So what have anet to do ? isay make zreb not killable by 1 spell and make it undodgeble !

Haha really??? I love Kylho it’s my favorite map.

I only wish the announcer would be talk again. For a few weeks he has not uttered a peep to me and I need the illusion of human contact to keep me sane.

Some dodge it, some destroy it … and others prefer to fight in front of it and get killed. There is no cure for being silly; I wish it was ignorance, but I doubt it. My only gripe with Khylo has nothing to do with the trebuchet but to do with people who insists on being killed by it.

I don’t like the trebuchet because it just sits there, on its high perch.
It’s watching us from up there with wooden beady eyes and a smirk grin as if it knows we fear and loathe it.
It knows some poor innocent little fool will stand there, operating its lever, tossing its debris into the masses below. It knows this poor fool will stay to defend it. Even if a team of vicious killers is pushed up that inclining path to crush the Trebuchet.
This is what the Trebuchet wants! Its demonic nature has been hidden in the throes and woes of battle and death, but my fellow PVPers… I am here to enlighten you! The Trebuchet survives by feeding on our blood! Like some evil tree grown by Satan himself!
It lures unsuspecting victims with its false promise of victory. Yet it does not toss that debris to aid your team! no! it tosses it as a beacon, a call out to the enemy proclaiming yet another sacrifice is ready! And it relishes in the blood spilt at its foundation. It would drool if it could.
It knows it will die to these murderous packs looking for a kill. But that is not its concern. The Trebuchet knows it lives forever.
It knows far accross the land of Khylo, another will look up, and feel unprotected, alone and scared as it no longer sees the image of its savior standing boldly over the ramparts and pungy sticked cliff. He will want to feel that security again. He will do what he must for it… make the Pilgrimage of the Repair Kit. He will throw hiw life and limb to get that trebuchet back. And once again, The Trebuchet will be born… on the blood caked ground of its former operators… its former victims. But that pilgrim who brought to life again this machine of death, does not know he will be there forever now, soon to join his fellow lost soldiers in the soil below.
Beware the Trebuchet!! It is a liar and a consorter of Demons! stay your fears and bury them. Lest the Trebuchet will bring you to your doom!!

I’m not a fan of the trebuchet myself. I don’t mind the idea of it but it is way too powerful how it is now… in the right hands at least. It fires rather quickly with incredible damage and destroying it is nearly useless with the repair kit. One match I played was against the trebuchet queen… she was decimating every flag and when I ran to take it out she just ran away. I thought she didn’t want to fight without her siege engine but I learned differently. Seconds after destroying it I hear the announcement “The enemy has their repair kit!” because she made her way to its spawn point while I was destroying it and moments later it was back in action.

Adjusting the reload speed, accuracy and/or the repair kit respawn time would make it much less of a round-winning superweapon.

I think the treb is a great microcosm of the game’s balance. Something that can appear very powerful can really be mitigated quite easily with good knowledge and teamwork .

This game seems to have two big skill jumps, one where things like treb and 100 blades go from unstoppable to minor inconveniences and then another where the game becomes less about bunker and burst and more about team support and roaming/rotating in sync.

Once they roll out the features need to nurture and develop the playerbase through those skill curves, they might have a winner on their hands =)
