Tricks I learnt from GW1
Trick I learned in pvp on thief : never gank a mid fight on the target. It’s often the center of aoe. Instead focus a guy that is hitting from a safe distance.
This will decrease the pressure on your team and you will most likely fatally damage your target.
Another thing I found fun being a warrior on GW1, were CC chains!
You could KD someone, then wait a little bit..and then KD them again and interrupt their MONK spell with 1/4s cast time. Those were the mechanics in the first game, which I really miss.
I saw it a bit on ZerkWar when you can Daze them, and then use your Primal Burst to daze them again and you have a long chain. But the bow missed this AoE element because it was in a long line. If the bow was AoE I’d be grade AAA happy because in a long line it does very little when you’re competing for a conquest point.
Warrior was the leader in GW1, whereas in GW2 it has little to no survival currently.
I don’t see survival like this….
It’s just dodge roll, dodge roll, no one has the skill level to rotate or apply AoE, or to do anything, it’s just chaos……
We also had a district, which was structured where we could look for a team, and we’d log-in daily and do things and do things as a GUILD. We had priests who would ress the team, we had Ghostly Heroes who if you killed them you would get your res signet back and lose DP. Perhaps a game mode such as this. If you killed the GH you ress your team mates.
It was called the Hall of Heroes, and I was a big fan of that. If you bring it back it could be fun. I’ve had enough of capping points, there was a map in HA where you would cap points, run relics, etc, make something like this please.

Just some feedback.
There was also the social-side of being a Warrior, you could get into organised teams, using Ventrilo, and call 3-2-1 spikes on targets and it would be game over. That was fun hanging out on Vent and talking to each other, getting to know people. And know it’s just a headache capping points. I really don’t care if you can 1v1 me in the Arena…It’s a 5v5 game based on objectives, why is the 1v1 element so high, when you gain points from holding objectives. I’m saying make all the builds to hold objectives, we had bunkers etc, which I approved of but I bought the game 1 year in and I wasn’t so great so I learnt. Now we have this 1v1 meta. Why do even the Warrior spell THROW BOLAS exist? It could be useful if you made a relic run game. Or I don’t know it’s all useless except Endure Pain – NERFED, Berserker Stance……/ends, condi overload……..
Could you please make it based on skill, fix warrior… and make it based on holding objectives or getting the objectives done!! Colosseum, and the Capricorn are alright but it’s conquest yet again. So over it……So so over it……..We could make a map where you hold a center point and there are other objectives to do 5v5v5!! Bring in a game master who could organize this for you… It’s so boring and tedious. You bring your 1v1 Ele’s and Rangers and Guardians 1v1 specialists, and then it’s just like quack what about the points?
Another tip from Gw1, was it was all Melee-based attack force leading the PvP squad. A warrior would log-in build a team of 8/8, get them on ventrilo and go from there. Now it’s 5v5 you’ve lost this element and I think that’s why it’s not so great anymore. You were a warrior, you felt like a warrior leading 7 other Men and Women, You were a ranger, you’d go on solo skirmishes, and this is what we’ve lost. You were a flagger, you run the flag back and forth, etc, etc it was your duty…it was Guild Wars.

So you want warrior to just be able to face tank instead of having to dodge roll because face tanking requires more skill? And spamming aoes on point requires more skill?
this is how you chain cc, by rupting them with the animation when they stand up. Hey I just want hamwar to be fun..
What it looks like to me is that the animations are inconsistent when you cc them could you fix that and add an animation for when you put something on cool down. A stunbreak aura could be nice too. Ok… you wasted a stunbreak..let me CC you.

Also the hammer elite casts too slow to chain it consistently and it’s not that powerful. Frenzy etc are not viable
After 8k hrs in Gw1 chaining this almost every time like riding a bike I don’t think it’s too hard to balance it in.
Just ranger counters to warriors makes it buildwars. Your build is long ranged I am melee, gg.
That’s how the game feels.
If you made it a bit CCy and got rid of the element that only a top team can focus out a shout bow. Because there is no co-ordination on point it’s every man for himself. If you look at CS GO. There is cover fire – tactics at the start, a bit of teamwork. I have the AWP I should scope through the doors.
Dota 2 there is Roshan, high risk reward! There is a last-hit mechanic which makes it fun.

5v5 we could make two bosses one for each team with lots of HP and we have to kill the other one first.
5v5 you could make a gm when you get random skills and equipment. You can test balance this way and it will lead to co-ordination. Cheap to produce, could be fun.
5v5 a gm when it’s 1v1 1v1 1v1 1v1 1v1 and then it’s 4v1 3v2 2v3 at the end. And then you progress to the next round where you get better rewards and prestige.
Anyone with any ideas?

Maybe make the aforementioned one 6v6 so you can have a 3v3 showdown.
Another idea I had is a daily Guild War. You login at 7pm. You wage war vs another Guild. There is a 1v1 50 vs 50 people. Then there is a massive Guild War. 23 vs 27 for example – only the winners take part. There are PvE objectives and other mechanics. You could include a flag. For every 30 seconds you hold a flag. One of your team mates makes a comeback! And you can’t change builds.

with this game mode you could make it so that when it’s 2v3 at the end, the players get a bonus for their deficit in players!!
so you could give each player on team with 2 a 50% boost in stats, and it could be fair!!!
the players who win only get ratings!!!
Also what really made me want to play is my passion to get a tiger emote!!
It was so competitive, you needed to chain consecutive wins so you could get more fame.
The tiger would come after many hours of play.
ATM I played 300 hrs and I got a Dragon. Don’t feel that reward.
Just something very small and minor which plays a significant role in my mind and wants me to play more.
What do you think if we actually made autoattacks, autoattack????
It’s called autoattack and I still have to spam 1?
I don’t understand..
Just testing it, it doesn’t work sometimes and you still have to press 1 – which I don’t mind
Looking at the CC chains on hammer too, it’s stun, knockdown, and knock back which is a hassle
