The pre-made team on voice coms League experience
“OMG this is awesome, finally a progression path!”
“gg team we just steam rolled them” (speaking of the helpless pug they just kittened)
“We’re going all the way to legednary guys, excellent job”

The solo queue League experience
“…”
“This is pointless”
“How did….”
“How many losses in a row can one player actually get”

You have people solo queuing who are ending up in a group with a horrible group composition
For example:

Pug
Hammer Warrior
D/D Ele
Dragon Hunter+
Druid+
PU Mesmer

>>> vs <<<

Premade
Herald+
Herald+
Druid+
Reaper+
Scrapper+

(where + represents a competitive Elite meta build)

Score ends in 500 to 120. High fives all around for pre-made. The two players running Elite Specs on the pug scored the most points. The entire pug feels cheated by the League system. Those not running Elite Specs feel cheated by the game in general.

This is what happens when you nuke the meta that took three years to stabilize and balance a month before introducing ranked League play. Horrible planning, horrible management. If you aren’t running a pre-made group with all party members checked to be running current meta builds or variants of, PvP is entirely pointless now. It doesn’t matter how skilled you are.

Why have you done this ArenaNet? Why have you provided new PvP features (League progression) for elitist and they’ve put those features on top of an unbalanced broken system.

A proper queuing algorithm will not only take into account past wins and losses but pre-made/pug pairings and team composition. It should be programmed to try and balance teams so that you never have a team running all elite spec meta builds against a team that isn’t. That’s just not going to end well and ultimately skill devalued. When skil is devalued you have unbalanced and a broken pvp system. That’s exactly what you have right now.

It’s fine, since the premade will go to a different tier, and the pugs don’t need to face them anymore.

Gray out the HP for future condition damage
Already quit PvP. Just log in here and there to troll.

I don’t really think leagues were designed with solo players in mind.

Yet they allow solo queuing and the blog entry/article they put up on League play yesterday encourages solo queuers to “get in on the fun”. It’s as if the game studio is mocking it’s player base at this point. Unbelievable.

I myself have made peace with the solo vs pre-made issue by playing one of the following games when I feel like doing some competitive play (instead of doing spvp in GW2):
1. 1vs1 in Starcraft ii
2. Hero league in Heroes of the storm (where teams of 3 or more are not allowed).

It’s sad since I did spend a huge amount of time on spvp in GW2, but I am a lot happier now by playing other games that do not have this issue and are more fun.

Idk I was 5-3 solo on my reaper. Winning less since I switched to guard since I got the five necro wins for part 1 of the backpiece. like 2-2 so far on guard.
