At least I’m in the final stretch, one more tier to go and I can stop this horrendous game mode completely. I just wish it wasn’t necessary in the first place. There has to be a better way. It’s just so. . . ugh.

Imagine my regret when I realized I needed to basically grind out into Diamond this season and next because I didn’t play the first two seasons.

I also say the new system is much better for good matches, but it will be a huge grind for most players, because it’s more towards 50:50.
And the dam thing is close MMR scheduled matches are mostly decided by side factors, like a disconect, AFK, playing for daily, drunk or whatever …. Had such a match yesterday. One seemed to have conection problems, he left at start and came back after about 5 minutes. We were way behind and could catch up a bit but lost with something about 500: 300 points in the end …

You have my sympathies. I think I’m in a good place, I only need to get I think into Sapphire both seasons, or maybe ruby at least once, so it shouldn’t be too kittenoon as I get more than two pips in a row. . .

I will say that if I close out Season 3 not getting out of Emerald because I keep getting 50/50 match-ups in a system that is designed to ONLY reward win streaks, then I’m flipping kitten the table on this game.

This was my diamond t5 for 4 days last season and i was bleeding pips slowly but steadily, then i gave up because it was proven to be really really bad for my nerves to the point i was getting dizzy. Take a break trust me and return in a few days.

It’s not any harder to win that it ever was, it’s just harder to get placed in a group that will win the match twice or more in a row. Since progression through the league depends on win streaks, this means that it can become impossible to progress.

Nope, all the top tier players have already skyrocketed to diamond with like 1-2 losses and ~30 wins. They’d be legendary by now if the queue didn’t stop them there.
