Has the thought occurred to any one else that maybe Guildars 2 pvp isn’t able to be balanced?

I think it might be a possibility due to the removal of a true healer class it cannot be balanced. If one class or build is stronger then another class it gets nerfed and another super strong class pops up based on how much damage it can do vs its survivability.

In GW1 high damage builds like fire eles and frenzy warriors were only as good as the rest of the team, because alone their ability to survive was little to none. So they had to rely on monks to heal/protect them or the midline to mitigate the damage.

Here, for the most part, everyone does damage and relies on themselves to survive making the classes with the most damage vs survivability much better. Example: D/D eles and hambow warriors.

This is just something that has crossed my mind playing in the past year.

Anet hasn’t really done many pvp based patches though, so based on trial and error we really don’t know. But maybe they don’t feel comfortable changing the pvp meta because they aren’t sure if their changes will actually help.

Just a thought.

ding ding ding! Reason why 80% of the pvp base from GW1 quit months into GW2, it’s kind of surprising there were 24 teams of 8 playing GvG last month in GW1 (ill say a soft estimate of 12 teams of 8 actually played due to smurf guilds).
