Capricorn is decent, Coliseum is pretty bad imo, mainly from the perspective of kite spots.

Yeah, I’ve never been a fan of Coliseum, but Capricorn is pretty good. Except when my team mates don’t go bell the whole game or wipe in 5 seconds at the bell. Idk why I even don’t like Coliseum I just do.

The old capricorn was better. I don´t know why they patched it out. Maybe because of the under water point. Don´t know.

Sure, if I only played for dailies once or twice a week I wouldn’t mind, but if I have to play a lot of ranked matches on Coliseum I’m not going to be happy.

The side point ledges create a pretty unfair advantage to certain professions with teleport skills.

I like both and im more than happy that they put them in ranked rotation, boring to play the same maps over and over

Also I love the coliseum redesign, the sidepoints no longer benefit classes with teleports.

People seem to dislike Capricorn because of the bell mechanic, I think that it just adds to the strategy. Maybe have 1-2 people get the bell, the rest keep capping.

Coliseum has the stat buffs which help your team and also help you survive/kill.

I think the death kill buff should go through invulnerability such as ele’s mistform, mesmer’s stealth teleport, and thief’s teleport… why can those 3 classes survive but everyone else can’t?

A good way to fix this is to immediately kill the downed enemy right after they get downed, with the death animation taking place after.

Also, the shield buff should give the person who got it some really durable stats so that players would actually want to get the buff.

And maybe have the sword buff give some really hard-hitting damage stats? Something to make them worthwhile.

Oh, they fixed this? That’s good. I haven’t played it since the patch.

The “fix” involved making the map so open that there is little to no line of sight shelter or advantage to teleporting.

Since that is the case, there’s little point in taking a light armor class. I predict that heavy armor and ranger will dominate The Coliseum.

Again this pve attetute here where everyone starts crying when not everything is equally and easy.
You have a map where classes with teleports have a advantage: “Oh this class has capabilities I don´t have, oh it´s so unfair pls anet fix it make everything the same and easy and boring……..”

You know I was 95%+ pvp player and I wanted each class to be unique and have differences in capabilities. I know the whole “original” spvp community would be the same oppinion.
Not just pvp wise, rpg wise it would also make total sense.
But somehow pve people, who are also the main population in spvp today because Anet got it done to make everyone leaving who had any “real” interest in pvp, are alwayas crying about everything not beeing totally equalised when it comes to capabilitie differences or like here with this map.

This people are rly annoying and it´s just sad for the game.

But seemingly anet wants it like that……. -_-
