Underutilized Screen Real Estate - Shoutcasts
A bar that fills a little bit every time someone QQs about a certain class in the forums. When it’s full, buffs & nerfs happen.

We need lord/mob hp’s. And maybe a small camera for sidepoint action when the focus is on mid.
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!
a side camera is a neat idea!

When designing UI, all resolutions and UI sizes need to be taken into consideration. That unused space is only there for large resolution monitors using normal and small UI size. You can see for yourself by setting the game to 1024×768 and setting your UI size to large. You get tons of overlapping UI
You’d have to toggle out the skillbar to get any room.
That being said, what kind of stuff would you like to see down there?
Top of my list: side-by-side team state comparison. Points captured, neutralized, kills, deaths, healing done, damage done, condi damage done, etc etc.
Bra (80 Guard), Fixie Bow (80 Ranger), Wcharr (80 Ele)
Xdragonshadowninjax (80 Thief)

Oh, I never knew that. I only run high-test. Still, though, I can’t help but think that there could be some way of getting “more better” information on the screen for shoutcasts.
I wish they would make spectator mode have free camera like in Smite. The Smite tournaments are sooo fun to watch because of this. Furthermore, the weekly top 5 plays are amazing because you can see the same play from several different angles, in close up or even in slow motion.

I would like to see something in the action bar that allows us to choose which items to use in combat, for example potions, or a spy kit or healing seed, without having to open our inventory. Allow us to assign which items show in the UI for swapping out
I would like to see a pick near the action bar that showed the weapons you want to swap out to without opening the character window, or inventory. Allow us to assign which weapons show in the UI for swapping out. (out of combat)

I think showing a rez timer in spectator mode somewhere would be helpful.
Have the shoutcasters provided a ‘top 10’ list of things they’d like to see?
I want the team status bar like in GW1. The line graph that tracked how each team overall performance was at the specific moment. Fluctuated due to health bar changes, morale boasts, and kills.

I would love to see these stats for each player at the end of every normal match too!

We should be able to see the target of the player being spectated. It’ll help show who is being focused on by them in team fights, and it’s particularly important to let us see how they handle boons and conditions on their target in combination with their own, particularly with the current state of the meta and the number of skills which interact with boons & conditions on enemies and not just players.

Ooh – good idea! And show the target’s action bar at the bottom so we can see what he/she is trying to do (or can’t do) to react.

If there was enough space, could it be customizable?
E.G:
Different Camera Angles.
Replays of Action predicted by the game software. So finishes would appear in a slomo replay or downed interrupts. This could also go to point caps and defends.
Stats
Chase cam, that will chase a certain player

If your gonna mess with the UI can you please, for the love of god, fix the blue roster in obs mode to be at the same height as the red team. Its so annoying.

There could be a panel with some extra info you could toggle on an off, replacing the skill bar if you had the camera set on a player.
One semi-transparent and without background that it’s mostly floating icons without a background.

And increase the maximum size of the Mini Map (esp on smaller interface sizes) or recreate the ‘U’ map from GW1

I know this might be stretching it, but maybe a simple DPS given number and DPS recieved number somewhere in the UI for each party member (would update every second) would be pretty cool. Some res timer notifications and “who ressed who” like the ones for finishes and downs would be pretty sweet too…ofc those can only have to appear for the spectators.
Past member of most teams NA. Retired proleague season 1+2.

something to see when passive trait effects are ready would be nice to have
something like to see when is ranger passive condi cleanse rdy again,
when is the stun break or the invis passive rdy again and and and…
because for example when the stunbreak trait is rdy, you can do a safestomp as ranger.
so it would be nice to know its rdy again…

Who ressed who is more of a job for the shoutcaster dont you think?
I always liked the gold graph in dota 2, shoutcasters can switch to it and talk about it during a dull moment and it nicely shows you momentary screenshots on how the game has progressed. Ofcourse we have a score and no gold here but it would still be cool to see Dmg Done/Dmg Taken or Kills/Deaths or even Points Earned per Minute against eachother in a graph. One of these whichever fits best.

Along those lines a graph representation of your points over time for both teams on the same graph would be nice. You can add in time events to that graph for when nodes where switched between teams. That will show how momentum was shifting throughout the game, just how massive that comeback just was, or just how dominant that other team was.

Gw1 had some really nice observer info tabs like party health, deaths and points. It would be interesting to see similar thing in gw2.
