Unplayable conquest game
This is how bad the state of the game is at the moment… the amount of braindead zombies around is huge.
you just see traps and passive damage / blocks / invuls and CC flying everywhere…
That happens if you try to make a game so casual that even a toddler can play it.

funny that it took people in this game so long to realize how b/s are DHs
still not as b/s as mesmers though, but its harder to see so I expect it might take 1 more year until its figured out
it is th aoe+cleves+traps, it is not only the traps this game is to much aoeish and very spammish, u dont need much skill to burst, but u need reflexes to avoid it, it is a simple game.
ah, i see, rotating to another node and defeating those dhs one by one is to hard (yep, the game is the problem, totally not your gameplay this is sarcasm)

You’re getting confused with WoW PvP. GW2 is so much difficult that casuals are having a tougher time. Easier is always more popular, it’s why players complain sooo much about items that’s not even OP.

Prepatch, DH got countered by Ele, Engi, Rev, & Rangers. Now we only have issues with Revs & Rangers on point. They nerfed Ele and Engi while also buffing DH. Players frustrations are DH being stackable while their main classes can’t beat them anymore.
The game is balanced (for the most part) in ESL, non stackable classes, but SPvP matchmaking could still use some work.

dont think you understand that DH stacking is not the problem, the problem is that DH is so b/s that you can get away stacking them
most of nerfs and buffs to DH or other classes are irrelevant and the only thing they do is forcing the community towards or away from a class, since people generally seek to play what’s “most op”, there werent changes big enough to completely change the class’ standing in sPvP outside of those crazy warrior buffs since nobody played them
you realize how ridiculous are DH traps with all the free boons they give on top of their extremely powerful effects and they go on cooldown as soon as they are placed instead of going on cooldown once they trigger or rather expire
you realize that DH elite skill that refreshes virtues is complete bullkitten now with those virtue upgrades DH got from HoT, while another elite – dragon maw does sick damage, hard limits mobility and gives free 10 stacks of might
DH simply stepped into the spotlight with the recent pack of changes and that made them noticed by players who seek ez game ez life, they’ve always been that strong
Yeah unplayable Solution is L2P.

Defeating the DHs 1 by 1 isnt going to happen. With the amount of active defense by the time you burn through RF and the second SoC another DH will be there.
This is honestly my biggest problem with them. so much sustain for minimal to no investment. Throw Thief/Rev/Mes in the mix and its impossible to kill a DH in time before counter rotation is made.
Im going to have to agree here, as a thief main anytime my DH can hold long enough for me to come back and help it so we can make it +1 situation were gona win, (goes without saying because we outnumber) this is the way it should work ideally.
Now heres where the problem lies the usual team in soloq you will run into 2 DHs and a Mesmer
You will have 1 Dh bunker home all game so it makes it very hard to commit a decap on far if attacking. Said Mesmer will also thrown down a portal on its home (essentially making a 2vx on far for you) while it plays on mid to help out the other DH bunkering mid with x classes also on that team.
Your teams problem is now you must somehow either abandon your home node (so their thief/mes/x can quick decap it or worse port to it and full cap then come back to their home if needed) so if you push mid to make a fair fight youre already at a disadvantage because now they can peel off whenever because you all commited. While your teams decap class is forced to either play the sides and watch home for inc (then rush back home and stall while your team wins mid or pulls off)
ALL of this going on bear im mind skills and rotations are going on. That is way long enough for passive boons and traits to reset so X team can gain a reset DURING A FIGHT (This should never happen remember Season 1 & 2???) so now you mave have broken down the passives and defenses of the Mes and DH combo well too bad their up again, so you start over.
Our other problem lies with the magic 30 pip range. The majority of players would rather have better matches waiting an extra 30 secs – 2 min to have a better game than get shoved into horribly lopsided fights in the sake of “speeding up a game”
This season has had a lot of problems that need addressed extremely quickly if we dont want to lose even more people for next Season.

You can get away stacking Revs and Rangers too only there’s 3 classes who could potentially hard counter them as oppose to 2 classes who soft counter DH.

DH were strong post patch and needed trap nerfs. Our LB was strong but the nerf was done in the wrong ways (balanced for wvw rather than pvp). We were fine until other classes got nerfed and DH got buffed simultaneously. That’s exactly what happend; DH hasn’t been strong since HoT. We we’ve been the weakest class after Thief and War buffs (S2 & S3).
DH are strong now (because our paper class Ele can’t beat Rock class DH) because 2 classes can no longer go toe to toe with us. DH is more popular because of said reasons, including our counters being less in spvp.
DH needed these simple changes but the other classes didn’t need a nerf along with it. At this point, Anet needs to tune each individual class rather than the Buff + Nerf patches. They didn’t realize Virtue changes would have helped this much but I knew it was a QoL item that we really, really, needed for sustainability in burst scenarios.
TL;DR
DH was hard to make work in S2 and S3 but there were very few complaints other than the usual Thief vs ToF trap threads. You make it sound like we’ve always been meta.
