This single skill is simply too good:

1) huge dmg
2) 2s evade frame
3) 5s CD

It’s like heartseeker on steroids, I propose to either double the CD or reduce the evasion frame from 2s to 1s if not at the very least reduce the number of hits from 7 to 5; given the plethora of “oh kitten” skills on revenant, something must be done

Or change all revenant weapon evade skills to give damage reduction instead of evade frames. Something like 70% or even 90% damage reduction while in the animation (skills like unrelenting assault, staff 5, hammer 3, ect), this way the revenant can still use them to avoid almost all damage but is at risk of getting interrupted.

Hot gave way to many blocks and evades to every class in the game, where before weapon evades were a thief and ranger thing, with the exception of 1 elementalist and 1 warrior skill.

I want to add that the skill is also incredibly buggy. If the player you’re using the skill on losses you in a weird way you basically get stuck in place with the camera away from your character. Happened to me many times and it’s very annoying. You can also teleport through gates and mesmer portals.

Du you know waht happened in the beta weekend when rev had no evade on this skill? They killed themselves by using it due to ring of fire or purging flames, easily stacking 21 stacks of burning on themselves.

I’d prefer they increase the energy cost or cooldown of the skill rather than removing the evade frames. The problem with the skill is that it locks the Revenant in action, so without evade frames the skill becomes totally worthless as it makes you a sitting duck. I think if you made it weaker or removed the might, though, it’d also fall into disuse. If the cooldown or energy cost were increased, however, it’d still be useful just need to be used more tactfully.

Yeah that’s all I want, no delete..just remove the spamming effect, increased CD or energy would solve the issue

I don’t really have a problem wth the skill other than it shouldn’t have an unlimited attack distance once it is casted. There needs to be counterplay to the skill.

What are you talking about?!? UA has 12s cd and it does less damage than rev autoattack on sword. Mesmer have similiar skill also blurred frenzy and has acces to alacrity so it has 4s cd and 2s evade. The only difference is that UA follows the target.

UA also has counterplay. For example rune of nightmare fear proc, shocking aura, stealth, slow makes this skill do no damage at all, standing next to a wall interrupts this skill and it also can clip revenant inside a wall and then slick shoes interrupts this skill.

UA isn’t a problem in high enough pvp level.

Most high damage skills have an animation lock in. It is a skill balancing point.
100 blades.
True shot
pistol whip
reaper shroud 5

UA certainly does not do less damage than auto attack. Unless you are using it in a large fight.
Using bugs to defend a skill does not take away from the skill’s power level.

There’s so much more stuff to touch about revenants before UA needs to be adressed.
I don’t like how brainless the skill can be, but it’s not the be all and end all of why revenant is so good.

What I dislike most about it, is that if it gets stopped via target entering stealth, the revenant continues to evade even though the skill ceased and it is no longer moving.

I don’t mind the infinite pursuit of it. I’ve used it to my advantage with shadow step before, and managed to capture stilness vs a revenant without needing to fight or kill it. Of course I had to wait for him to be out of shiro first.

5cd? I demand a refund, someone cheated me as my ua is on 12cd. You could nerf to 5 strikes shorteting it evade only if it become single target ability. It already doesnt do a kitten outside of 1v1 , even less so if you fight a ranger, mesmer or necro with pet..and there is tons of them. Meanwhile rocket charge 10cd which hits just as hard.
