Explaining my line of thinking with rotations and disengages during a high end tourny game between the newly merged PZ+TDM vs JBUO.
It’s always nice to see a class spam 3 buttons (3, dodge and heal) and kitten someone else.
Perfect balance of effort vs reward indeed
Sigh. Really? You watch a guy poop on three people trying to chase him and basically ruin their entire opening strategy in about 35s then can’t even acknowledge the skill required to pull that off? Making people look foolish in a 3v1 scenario isn’t really easy even if they are only remotely competent.
Nice vid Jumper. The commentary makes it especially good for people that are trying to understand tactics and when/why to engage/disengage.
Anyone who is trying to learn thief should watch this video just to understand how valuable a thief is on Forest Map.
Also anyone who is just learning tPvP should understand just how quickly a thief can pop in and steal your NPC’s on that map.
funny how u and other ppl have been trashing me on doing this since the beginning and now everything thief is doing it… sure u can say now we have shadow trap, but as u can see how he doesnt use it once for a decap, that it works without it …

ppl like you make the community worse by trash talking everyones builds and strats why dont u just shut ur mouth and let ppl play what they like instead of trying to make ur e peeen bigger by trying to be the meta
Sure ppls builds might not seem good at first glance but if u build ur team comp around it and sinergize it becomes viable
Thats what this game is supposed to be about NOT having only 1 meta for strats and builds and you and others spreading this crap just ruins the game
I know you think you’re “special” and should be considered better than every other thief because you’re using an underpowered build and performing at or below average with it.
But you don’t have to spam every single thread with it…. Seriously.
Personally I am not great with S/D and I need more games to be able to master it but Shadow Trap has gave me another reason to love it even more.
The disadvantage with my build in comparisons with other thieves S/D is that I will never be able to pressure as much vs close holders and even cap a point when they are there.
In terms of my role with that build I believe it is to
a.To decap and return to mid as soon as possible
b.Force the enemy team effectively to send two people to their close so I can return to mid as soon as possible.

a) Neuting a point as a thief isnt patented Cruuk. Get off your own kitten and start to realise its a strategy that people use, but dont have to spec entirely into
b) the game is team based. 1v1’s thief vs. thief wont work when one is speced into evades and the other is specced into “when I stealth, I heal”
c) The thread isnt meant for a flame fest. Its helping new players out. No where did he say “I invented this playstyle”. All he’s doing is saying “This is what i did, why, now if your in a similar situation you can do the same”
If you wanna post a similar video Cruuk be my guest. But dont just rip on somebody for neuting back point as a thief lol

How much does jumper pay you for liking his bullkitten? I need money :/
Not taking sides here but it was Jumper and some others that started trash talking Cruuk about his build and telling him he was bad for running it, saying it didn’t fit into the meta and was underpowered etc. Cruuk to my knowledge (unless it was behind the scenes whispers) was generally just minding his own business. That is why Cruuk now has the rage for those that assailed him and his play style.
It makes me sad that our high caliber players generally tend to treat each other like dirt in NA.
Wasn’t that eons ago back when we still had haste….if something works for someone, then who cares what fits what.

It’s a good vid, I do applaud the effort and would like to see more of these crop up for the various professions, roles and weapon sets.

Your video was nice, but I liked chaith video better. Because he only had 1 stack of might and owned a thief and the thief said “get nerfed” and all he did was throw nades at himself while thief was cloaked.

Jumper, this was an awesome video with great commentary to explain the situation and your decisions.
Also, it’s sad that people have to come here and make desperate attempts to talk down on the video when it’s stuff like this that makes the PvP community better.
