Hey guys;

When u are going to assault/defend a point, or even fighting in the middle, whats the profession are harder for u to 1v1? and easier?

My votes:
Harder – Thief
Easier – Ranger

hardest bad player: turret engi
hardest good player: multi-kit engi

easiest: ranger.

Hm.. It depends on what class and build you re playing.
But in a fast answer, if you re playing as Eng, any class is easy to 1v1; and, no matter what class you re playing, the hardest one to 1v1 is Engs.

Yeah, i said thief, but engi was in my mind too. Too much CC/conditions haha

Depends on build and player skill.

It does depend largely on the player and build in question .. and how those factors measure up with your own build and ability to use your own build.

Rangers actually have some decent 1v1 specs. Condi/regen with a few traps can be a pain to counter due to heavy condition pressure along with evasion.

Rar- hambow, or axe sword, Outplayed By Children

Engineer: Backpack-Celestial Engi, Outplayed by Children

Thief: Caed- dp thief NO sa, Covered in Baby Oil

Aids/Necro: Noscoc, condi, Outplayed By Children

Elementalist: Wakkey, celestial dd, Outplayed By Children
Zoose, celestial dd, Covered in Oil Baby Ohh

Ranger: eura, beast master

Mesmer: sucks unless ur with no los, or not on a point, luckily u never have to fight like that

Guardian: dps, extremely good 1v1 kaypud was guard god

So. What beats what… necro, everything, engi beats all but necro, ele beats all but necro engi, warrior can beat ele, but if everyone plays perfectly they lose to thief engi ele and necro, mesmer gets kittened by most classes, so does ranger… guard sucks kinda… all of these are builds run by players in a team, if executed they can win team fights and 1v1s easily…. if u think ur turret engi beats a celestial engi, gl see u at my summercamp kittenter

I don’t play beast master (not since pet nerf all those months ago).
If you’ve fought me 1 v 1 it was either spirit ranger or condi burst.

For the thread:

Hardest to Easiest 1 v 1: Ele → War = Thief (depending on build) → Engi
Easiest to Hardest 1 v 1: Necro → Ranger → Mesmer

For ranger, for me, anyway.

Hardest: Necromancer
Easiest: Thief

Depends on the player and the build, and what class/build you’re playing.

I can’t flat out say one thing is harder to fight against, 1v1 than another.

Some eles are devastating, some thieves are easy, some rangers are tough, some guardians weak.

Also note that due to the nature of the game mode, you don’t have unlimited amount of time to fight 1v1 (unlike in other scenarios – ie wvw). Most of the time, time and cap pressure, as well as danger of it turning into a 1v2 forces you to make “bad” choices, which you wouldn’t make in a straight out duel.

if you’re speaking in terms of winning pvp (capping points and such.) i’d say

hardest – bunker guardian
easiest – dps thieves

if you’re speaking in terms of 1v1 fights, which is the easiest to kill?

hardest – either mesmers or engineers
easiest – warriors or thieves

For ele part , i disagree some points. I think ele has the equal chance to beat engi and necro as long as players have the same skill levels. However, i’d admit that it is almost impossible for DD ele to beat warrior (HAMBOW)

Its easy enough when you have terrain advantage, LOS and they’re intent on decapping rather then winning a fight.

Also Running a setup that allows you to easily kite them i.e Staff/gs. works pretty well.

When it’s a straight up HONOR duel, then who cares who wins.

engi easily one of the easiest 1v1 class.

let me guess you main necro or engi which is hard counter to engi so you think necro is the best class
