I’ve just come from a 6 month break and have uploaded a session of rev fights back in May just before I left. This is not to call anyone out, I respect Faov for his skill and as a player in general.
I wasn’t going to upload it but since faov dropped off from [NL] and gw2, I thought it’d be of great help to people who want to get better at rev, for them to see what can be done at higher levels of rev gameplay.
You will see fast clutch plays with occasionally some mistakes as in the heat of the duels it’s difficult to play perfectly when 100-0 pressure can come in an instant.
One small thing to note is that a few skills like shiro teleport have since been nerfed, but the overall mechanics remain.
The build used for both players was the meta (invo/dev/herald)

“good” is extremely subjective. Tier rankings are not (as much), and it’s mid tier.

Oh snap! The forum warriors crawling out of the woodworks. Ok, duel them if you’re “high” tier or name someone “high” tier and arrange a duel then. Instead of just being trolly. Just an idea. Genius right?

Edit: Never mind. I saw this guy’s post in another forum and he thinks Rev is the most OP class in game right now. He lost all credibility right there. Seems like he’s from the “low” tier to me.

If you consider a pro league player and a dueling specialist who has won several community dueling tournaments “mid tier” then you should probably look up what mid tier actually means.

You don’t need to be top tier to enter pro league in NA atm, (same could be said about eu, but far from the same degree)

the key term here is “won” anyone can enter not anyone can win.

Throughout S1 and S2 he was still somewhat learning how to play conquest, but his mechanics were never in question, no matter how the team ended up doing. I doubt there’s a single top tier Revenant who didn’t respect Faov. So be my guest, call the best players in the game mid tier. It says more about you than about them. They’ve already proven themselves to the people that matter.

I consider any rev from NA mid-tier.

Lol but seriously, I haven’t watched the vid yet. But what does it matter which tier of play this is. As long as it’s either entertaining and there is no wrong information being passed onto people that might be looking to learn the tier of play shouldn’t matter ^^

These guys are obv good though.

Let’s not unintentionally raise our egos here. There are esl players who make terrible duelists and vice versa; the best duelists don’t always equate to excellent Conquest players.

Firstly conquest =/= dueling and secondly Kronos is pretty much the best player NA in terms of dueling. I’m pretty sure he’d give anyone a run for their money in EU as well. There’s no need for EU>NA when there’s never been cross-region dueling, similarly saying that these guys aren’t top tier when I know Kronos at least is pretty much the best dueler around. Of the clip you showed as well, it just shows muscle memory of a skill rotation which pretty much everyone does, although I’d be comfortable saying those guys would be top tier also.
Back on topic, Kronos’ video is actually helpful to people trying to play Rev and find out the combos, which, if everytime someone does this the content creator gets butchered for not being skillful enough, when he literally wins every 1v1 tournament there is, then this game is reaching all new levels of toxicity .
