I have been doing some theory crafting based around the Vigilant Amulet and Im wondering if it would make sense to take the Expertise of this amulet and replace it with healing power. This amulet is absolutely amazing in my opinon for support classes that have good boon sharing potential, but for me i feel like the expertise just doesnt synergixe that well with the stats.

1050 power
1050 toughness
560 Concentration
560 Expertise

For example this amulet could be really good for a shout support guardian but due to the classes low HP and the absence of healing power it makes it almost not worth it.

I am just curious to see what other people think of this and hopefully Anet might take it into consideration, I don’t know if anyone has had any luck with this amulet yet but I haven’t heard much about it and I don’t want to see another new amulet that was added to the game go to waste especially one with great potential.

good for classes with reasonable output of condis that dont rely on condi damage to be effective.

would be good on hammer war with impact sigil, probably dash DD with the same for basi since they also pump weakness.

just be sure your condi clear is reasonable. condibomb is death.

I think its okay as is, for that reason. classes that can pump out stun/debilitating condis may get mileage out of it.

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.

I was thinking that but there is the viper amulet and wanderers amulet as well which might be more viable to those two classes you just mentioned.

This Amy is good for power revs. Nice boon duration and the extra condi duration is nice when applying chill to keep single targets in place.

With Mallyx/Shiro and Mallyx/Glint

Rev has alot of ways to chill. I’m going to play with the Amy a bit more but I think it has potential and hope more ppl use it.

This is very true. Just musing.

Perhaps instead of switching the stats on vigilant they could make a new amulet to be similar to what I’m envisioning, one can always pray and dream i guess haha.

In this case you might be interested in something similar too this.

it wont give you the 72.33% boon duration that Vigilant would give you but still 35% is pretty good. Just food for thought although your build idea is actually really interesting

IMO Vigilant stats are crap. You only have two key stats to use in exchange for two duration stats which are only useful situationally. If you think about it this way, whenever you have no boons on you, your concentration stats are useless. Concentration isn’t bad, but its not worth it in exchange for your 3rd stat. e.g. Here we have Power and Toughness but you’ve pretty much ruled out on crit effects or event crit damage for guaranteed crit effects.

The worst thing is, you get Expertise but no real condition damage to go with it, and most of the time you will only be extending weakness or vulnerability by a second.

On paper vigilant sounds good, but when you come down to practicality, if you are hoping that 1-2 extra seconds of protection is going swing the fight in your favor you are better off banking it on solid stats.
