Time for GW2 to start stepping up, so streamers can start racking in $800,000 a year, and tier 1 players can start making nice salaries (6 to 7 figures) a year just by playing this game.

Also, you guys have the experience to make things like this possible… Guild Wars 1 was successful in my mind. This is Guild Wars 2, you have to step it up twice as hard!

Dude, what do you think this is? It’s the 2nd year the game has been out, and “Esports” is just starting. God, think with your brains people.

we are not even close to being ready for that much esports. Even if all upcoming events are incredibly successful, I doubt we’d see that much cash for over a year or more.

How are you suppose to get better players when impossible to form good player based teams!!! Need to develop better ways to get rank teams together to verse good teams!

and thats not all. LoL didn’t blow up overnight it took them several years to get in the position that they are in. this game can make something similar happen but i dont know about the figures you are drooling over are realistic for this game anyway.

please spare us from all the esports non sense, so dev do not came up with the wrong kitten to deliver for the next 6 month, that is before they put previously delivered, not- so-right kitten back into the cage.
guess either way we stuck with some kitten for 6 month and another 6 month in the foreseeable future. I just realized it is kitten hell on earth for player who tends to only pvp already.
so ya, let me rephrase it, plz do not even mention esports at this stage of the game and let dev roll out the plan/kitten they have set up from the beginning of the year.
so far I prefer a working season/ladder system ,than having a million viewer where clearly 99% of the population dont understand why that guy dropped in 0.5 sec

You’re deluding yourself if you think that the combat system in GW2 has any potential to maintain a competitive community large enough to warrant that kind of monetary reward.

ArenaNet and Khong Zong can toss all the money they want at trying to make GW2 an esport through holding tournaments, but it still won’t happen. The game simply does not have the mechanics or balance of a good esport. It isn’t fun to watch, it’s only slightly more fun to play than watch, and has already lost traction after 2 years of failing at being an esport. Until ArenaNet dedicates the time and resources to making big changes to the game, it will continue to flounder. Making the game fun and competitive comes first and Esports comes second, ArenaNet obviously did not understand that since they pushed the whole Esports since launch.

If you want to earn money trough playing video games, guildwars2 is the game you should avoid at all costs.
