WTS Observation Access
A suitable compromise would just be to allow players to observe battles directly from the game server, so we can either control it ourselves
This is really all that needs to be done, a 1 minute delay or replay system, in game, is incredibly useful for all PvPers.
They had a replay system in GW1 and, I say this with confidence, most of the players INCLUDING PvE players used it.
Being able to save/replay key matches and switch viewpoints would be awesome.
I dont have any problem seeing whats going on but i understand others will. I thought the “experts” who did the follow up needed to show actual key points in matches. There was a fight between the tcg and ORNG at mid in forest where a player got moa and they tried to take him down but the ORng gave him heals as he ran past them.
Also the abjured, when players were low you would literally see the engy or 2 ele switch to water or use the F1 soothing mist just to heal a ally running by. They tried to show some of those things but picked the worst fights ever to do it. The really need better slow down fight experts who can pick a significant fight in the match and point out what happened. It would really help new people coming in aswell seeing the different aspects of team play.
Minor problems with live or delayed ingame view, it gives unfair benefit in any other form than LAN.
Imagine team A playing on their home PC watching their character on one monitor and watching the team B players on their 2-3-4 monitor, stealth would be just a nice visual effect without benefit.
The 5v5 gameplay and the game mechanic is too fast to be commentated and you need to be a player with good map awarness to understand what is going on, only the casters can bring a small ease to the viewers but sadly I see some of them are just popular on twitch but not even close to understand the game.
Pro players could cast the game much better looking at you Frae >D
