Wait for it to settle down? Lower Divisions?
So the people defending the system, any tips?
Sure: you should have queued as a 5 man.
I honestly dont see anything wrong with that pic at all. You faced a guild group. Expected outcome is a blowout loss. Which is exactly what happened. Wierd.

So matchmaking is?…..
So matchmaking is?…..
… a black furry kitten.
Nah I play Smite and read these boards. The boards are far more entertaining then season 1 and 2. Everyone I know has left anyway.
Blackgate
3 purposely grouped Necros, 1 ele would render their dps to half. Call it bad luck I guess.
Lets create a system that punishes new to average players but stroke the epeeen of pro players.
Go espurts.
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
Try not queuing as 3 necros? lol
Necros are weak on rotations. If your pugs aren’t strong on rotations you will lose. The thief on the other team probably won the game on his own
Glad you lost. Queuing as 3 three necros is just looking for cheese win if other team cannot out-rotate you. Hard for an uncoordinated team of pugs to do so – you deserve to play full premades with voice comms. Teams like yours are the problem not the solution.
do you guys have some problems with your eyes? he wasnt in the 3necro queue
lol, Check the guild challenger leaderboard… Angelic harmony is the top rated guild team, undefeated so far. This is an outlier case

This is an outlier case
Please tell me you can quantify that and is it statistically significant?

Um, when you are playing against the top rated guild challenger team you are going to lose. You can’t possibly use this as an example of other matches, because of the circumstances under which it occurred.
So far my matches have been all solo except one. The one being a duo and we lost. I am 10-1 since starting Saturday. In 11 matches I got to Emerald. I think I will keep going solo

Restore that which was lost. And all shall be as one.”
I noticed that taking a small break and letting everyone play and climb before you usually means you will catch up right away in a winstreak. Last season I went fromDdiamond tier 2 to Legendary in a day, like 19 wins only 3 loses or so after taking a week long break.
This season I went from amber to emerald in 1 day with only 1 loss, didnt play until this Sunday, meaning the bottom of the barrel is left. Just take breaks, if you have any skills you will able to climb no problem.

There may be issues with matchmaking, but this screenie shows none of them.
4-1 vs 3 and 2 solo. This is pretty reasonable, nothing wrong with this.
A bunch of sapphires matched with a bunch of sapphires. This is pretty reasonable.
A premade guild team at the top of challenger ladder stomping x players here. This is pretty reasonable.
What exactly do you expect them to do with matchmaking? You all are whining about the exact opposite thing as last time. Last time everyone and their mother was kittening that the mmr system tried to force a 50% winrate which made it very difficult people to rank up and encouraged mmr tanking.
This time everyone and their mother is kittening that the system doesn’t try to match high mmr people with high mmr people. You know what doing that forces? It forces a 50% winrate; the exact thing you kittened about last season.
Note that this isn’t a case of ‘some people want one thing and other people want something else. The op of this thread was whining about how mmr was being used last season grouping high mmr people against each other. The op is now whining that it isn’t doing that. The vast majority of the complaining here isn’t due to legitimate concerns; it’s due to people losing matches, having zero awareness of how and why the matchmaking works, and then immediately heading to the forums to whine instead of trying to become better informed. Quite honestly it makes me sick.
