All of a sudden i really want The Ascension, but i’ve read that when the new item comes you can get The Ascension in a different way.

So does anyone know if starting Year of the Ascension achievements now will help me when they add the new way of aquiring it?

Where have you read you can get it another way? The only way I know of is to play in pvp seasons.
