Why is it that anet keeps ignoring warriorss weakness as a melee in this game. Time after time. New traits are complete useless, the dmg is low. You can’t land 100bs anymore. I dont get it. Condi AoE stronger than ever. What is it anet has against warriors. Prove me wrong with a viable warrior setup on top 200 play. Else don’t come with warrior pve responses. Deleted this game twice because it got so frustrating playing the warrior in pvp. Rank 50 pvp. top 200-400.

Right now we can’t do anything about it I would reroll man thats what I am trying to do. I would try to find a class that you think has longevity.
PS: I rage quit out of 5 games yesterday on warrior

You got to have more than one option until they make the warrior profession comfortable to play in Spvp. The devs said warriors should not have the same gameplay as guardians and I understand that concept, but that should not oblige them to not have certain survivability boons such as protection. In a sense any defense trait in the game should be accessible to that boon.

If I had to delete the game twice then I have to rethink why did I buy this game in the first place? It’s a waste of time reinstalling and I don’t have patience for that.

It sure is a waste. Rank 50 is something. Takes time somewhat. Rank 200 atm leader boards. But tbh if they can’t make the warrior viable i dunno whats up.. I installed it twice cuz ppl talk me into joining again… It’s lame. Warriors need serious dmg now. cuz they don’t have any. 100b isnt dmg to be fair.. warriors deal no condis or remove boons. Regular hits should be masive. And they should seperate PvP and PvE skills like in GW1 and buff the warrior in pvp so it wont be OP in pve.

It’s difficult to balance them because unlike other classes which have skills that are incredibly easy to land, the warrior’s damage potential is directly related to to the opponent’s ability to kite. Currently warrior’s damage is balanced IF your opponent cannot kite/dodge(for mobility)/create gap through skills(blinks etc). Ofcourse this is an unrealistic scenario.

CC would have been a good option for us to reduce enemy kiting potential if blinks didn’t work while in CC and there weren’t so many stun breaks. Furthermore, with the ridiculous state of condition damage we are having to spend our utility slots of condition removal/mitigation, as a result it limits our capacity for CC.

I was hoping Axe would become more viable with the new changes. It is not.

A crit from an axe (with a glass cannon spec) does only slightly more damage than a single tick of burning. Does that make any sense? And it does about as much damage as a tick if the enemy has high Toughness.

A single attack chain from a mesmer’s phantasm does over twice as much damage as an axe swing. This is while the mesmer is free to dodge/kite/attack himself. Does that make any sense?

The toughness stat needs to be reworked (affect condition damage in some way) or removed completely.

they just gave warriors a new condi clense trait warrior isnt that bad, just requires skill and not being predictable.

Warriors got some modest improvements to survivability and cc, at the cost of dps. All in all the changes were kind of a wash, but there are a few more possibilities for build design.

The catch is that necros are a good counter to warrior in team fights, blinds counter hammer, and weakness counters burst dps. All these things are a lot stronger after the patch, and it’s going to make playing warrior much more difficult.

Seriously, watch 30 seconds of this video, it looks like the Warrior class is from a completely different game stick a warrior in that fight and watch him run around like a dog. Teleports all over the place, blind spam, serious evade spam and spike damage. Lol we are so far behind these classes with teleports and blinds its not even funny.

That solution is remove the break stuns abilities on teleports. When a profession has teleports, stealth and massive evasion such as thief or mesmer they should have the least break stun abilities when they got loads of survivability.

Would that make them very vulnerable to a lot of opponents? Not at all
