So im a zerker warrior, i never had any problem with bursting classes down real fast or hurting bunker bit by bit.

he was shooting someone else so i thought it might be a chance for me to at least take his hp down to half,
so i immobilized him and used 100b, most of the hits land and dealt quiet ammont of damage, but he just heals back and regen.
and what happened next is just horrible, he just walk around while dealing a lot of damage on my ally. i keep hitting him continuously , gs 1 2 3 4 5 switch to long bow same thing. no matter how much i hit him he just regen back the same amount or more.

No offense but this isn’t the greatest of advice.
Longbow first off does terrific damage if traited for power, crit damage, and crit chance.
Axe is a great weapon sure, but it is best off as a side weapon to use on weapon swap, no mobility, limited range.
GS/Longbow is a legit Warrior build.
Also, Whirlwind will most often be your highest dealing attack considering you can use it on CD, it’s an evade skill and it’s an AoE.

At equal skill level you cannot beat a BM ranger on a warrior. He will use dodge attacks if you imob and have a passive and active stun breaker to deal with knockdowns. Not to mention more toughness than you, waaay more healing than you do, can dodge more, can kite you and has regular access to protection and far better condi removal. You’re unlikely to catch him and if you do high toughness+protection will take the edge off your burst which he can then heal off fairly easily, if he focuses you his condi dmg will just eat you up. Here is some real advice: until warrior is buffed don’t run it, the class has a niche role in team pvp if the team is set up for it but for yolo queue or any type of solo play you’re just a liability.
My apologies, I should have mentioned i’m no warrior expert. My advice comes from fighting against warriors and rangers.
As an engineer:
I’ve never been threatened in any way shape or form when fighting a warrior with a bow in hand.
The only dangerous warriors i’ve ever had the pleasure of fighting were using a mainhand axe and hit like trucks with eviserate.

it is amazing get some one cornered and use 3 on a wall, amazing damage in a matter of sec, even not for the damage skill itself is amazing finisher and evade. and gs mobility is important. so is lb`s support and aoes. plus i can land my gs2 almost anytime possible with some control skill and good timing

the thing is thakittens not equal skill, sure if someone with equal skill that i can’t kill, i know warrior is the worst class. but that ranger literally just let me hit and never took any damage. :|

I never said GS is garbage in any situation.
I read what the OP described and replied to that with my advice.
Obviously if someone is away from keyboard in a corner you are going to melt their face with the GS. Not so much against a good ranger.

He was using Troll Ungent, currently the most overpowered skill in the entire game. When built properly, with perma regen off Signet of the Wild, regular perma regen, and Troll Ungent, he can heal up to 1.5k per tick. It’s absolute nonsense. You have no choice but to wait until it wears off before you can hope to do any sort of damage to him.
It has a 15 second cooldown, (It’s a 25 second cooldown but it lasts for 10 seconds), that means you have 15 seconds to burst someone that probably has 3500 armor down to 0 health or they’ll simply regenerate it all back.
I would advice you use a Hammer for this fight, or a Mace. As you need alot of precision interrupts.

He was using Troll Ungent, currently the most overpowered skill in the entire game. Now here is the key point. Do not immediately Shield bash eviscerate. If you landed everything up to this point the ranger will be about half health give or take. Now swap to axe set and auto attack.
Wait for the ranger to turn blue to signify healing. Then shield bash eviscerate. The ranger will be low, but possibly not dead. But you will have 3 more seconds before they can heal again, and that is your opening to finish the job.

A very good phantasm mesmer is borderline unbeatable 1v1 with regen ranger, but that is literally the only one. HGH engineers are a close second, but after you figure out their rotation, they aren’t too much of a problem after getting them away from the turrets.
Thieves, as much as they want to puff their feathers and say how great they are as the best 1v1 class, still aren’t going to kill regen rangers that are really good at the class.

you could give Poison a go, the 33% damage could be nice!
theres Sigil of Doom which makes your next attack after swapping to the weapon apply 5 secs of poison. (which is’nt much)
or even (though i’m not sure if i’ve even seen them in pvp) “Rune of Orrian”, it has a 5% chance to proc 11 secs of poison every 10 secs when you’re hit, that “could” be a nice thing to try though its a condition rune so its more for sword/longbow.
i know poison is a nice debuff for bunkers, we just only have those 2 ways to apply it unfortunately :S
If the ranger has lightning reflexes you have no chance, I use axe shield GS and I must say I don’t have quite a problem with rangers unless they have lightning reflexes a dog pet can be annoying as we’ll cripple and knockdown just isn’t that chill … I wish balanced stance gave me stability and immunity to cripple and/or chill if I don’t kill the ranger within 10 second I use GS number 5 and BTFO he can’t catch up to me. Gotta do what u gotta do

@OP Like others have mentioned, the only real damage GS brings is HB and a quick GS3 spin after that just use GS5 to get back into range and swap weapons. The GS auto attack is just pitiful and yes BM rangers can literally ignore you and kill your ally then finish you off since the heal on them is just insane. From what I read, you’re using the one trick pony must setup HB to do anything and it really is what it is, you either kill him on impact or you don’t.

If you are able to hit him, he’s playing wrong. A good bunker ranger doesn’t need RaO (I use Entangle 99% of the time, myself). They have three built-in evades, a fourth from Lightning Reflexes, and more from dodges thanks to constant 50-100% endurance regen.
Warriors broadcast their abilities more than any class (except maybe ele). It is sooo easy to dodge a warrior if you know what you’re doing. I’m just trying to say that warrior as a class is at a disadvantage here simply because rangers can kite them to eternity. Yeah, that 100b will hurt if we eat it. Good luck landing it. There are a hundred and one ways to shake that damage, even if we are immobilized/stunned when you go in for the kill.

It is true. Anyone can win (If enemy makes mistakes).
My main is ranger and alt is war i run berserk builds in both classes ranger has a bit more survivability than war but wars burst is easier to control cos of rangers pet slacking some times.
War vs bm ranger now is realy hard for war maybe cos bm ranger is the best 1vs1 class but there is always a chance, i m always using rifle and axe shield if i get lucky crits on burst hits(i m Always use them At 50%hp) and good evade on his pet atks i can get him downed.
Honestly both classes on same skill level , ranger will win 10/10 times , sad but true , i play both classes , Warrior is only viable in a good team/guild group and he is babysat …
