Warriors are in a good place right now in terms of PvP balance, but there is still a lot of work to be done. From major things like traits and bugs, to small things like quality of life changes – there is still so much that can be done to fix warriors.

Here are some examples. Feel free to add to this list.

  • Last Stand: Activates Balanced Stance when you are dazed, knocked down, launched, pushed back, or stunned. This effect can only trigger once every 90 seconds.
    Why does this trait proc Balanced Stance if the warrior already has stability? For such a long internal cooldown, you’d think the trait would work as it says: activating stability when you need it. Also, a cooldown timer on the boon bar would be incredibly useful.
  • Powerful Banners
    Why does this trait make banners deal 500 damage when summoned? That is so insignificant it’s almost mind-boggling to think who it was in the office that thought this was a good idea for a trait.
  • Vigorous Return
    Seriously? What is the point of this trait?
  • Etc
    Feel free to add to this list.

Also, are warriors in a good place right now in PvP? I’ve seen more diversity in builds, from CC cleave builds to high toughness condition builds like this one. I feel like they’ve come a long ways in terms of balance, and it used to be way worst in the past (such dark times…) but maybe my perspective is skewed because I’m just looking at warrior balance from an improvement perspective.

Powerful Banners should not be a triat at all. Trait thate make me deal small damage with skill shot every 96 (120) second. Banners should deal damage always traited or not.

Have to say, warriors are heading in the right direction IMO. That being said, there are still issues.

- They should undo the Leg Specialist nerf.

- All minor traits in Tactics suck kitten and need serious work.

- Some Hammer skills, like Hammer 5, need rework. It just doesn’t compare at all to skills like Mace 5, which has a ranged fact to it, hitting multiple opponents, and a 5 seconds smaller recharge to boot…

- Third Minor trait in Strength needs a damage boost. 3% is low compared to what any class gets from grand master minor traits.

- Cull the Weak is unused as far as I know. All the other traits in this Adept line far outshine it.

- As is Spiked Armor. This is completely unworthy of a Grandmaster Trait. I would rather have this, which is only a 5 point Adept Minor trait for Mesmer’s, as GRAND MASTER then Spiked Armor; http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Critical_Infusion

- Thrill of the Kill in Discipline is useless. Completely obsolete trait in both pve and pvp.

- Pathing for skills like Rush and Savage Leap is lacking in combat. Especially Rush, you will not land this without luck.

- GS 4 needs a projectile speed increase. If you opponent is not walking straight to or from you, it misses. Always.

-Cleansing Ire feels useless with a melee build.

It should remove the condition/s prior to executing the skill.
As it stands with the current aoe condition spamfest in teamfights
and especially in 8v8 spvp you are blinded every few seconds.Take into account a slow weapon such as the hammer or the mace and you are completely useless.

Imo its veryyy usefull, without it.. I die to fast on cond.

and on other fast weapons too but as i said, the point is to remove
conditions; i can’t do that when one conditions always seems to be blind which makes me miss. Also blind was buffed so you need to actually miss a hit that would have connected to remove it. By that time i am blinded once more.
Rinse and repeat… and then you are dead.

Slightly off-topic: Can’t they just make all the passiveness on traits and even sigils active? It would work the same way LoL does it on their ‘items actives’. So let’s say you get some extra ‘skill slots’ for the traits and make them animated. This way you can activate it yourself and the opponent is able to react to it.

A small 1 to 5 extra skill bar on top of your regular skill bar would do the trick. This way you can keep track of the internal cooldown and use it whenever.

Razor xxxx (Desolation ; Off)
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!

I understand your sentiment against Cleansing Ire, especially when trying to land burst skills with a mace or axe. However, Cleansing Ire is amazing with other weapons like sword (since flurry is a 10x multi-hit attack, even scraping the target with 1 hit will activate Cleansing Ire), and as mentioned already, long bow works well with the trait.

Yes, i play a Hammer/Mace-Shield lockdown with bannerheal
and soldier gear for deffing points and supporting my team
in groupfights with regen and disabling enemies to set up kills.
Those are the two slowest weapons in the game i think so
blind is pretty much the bane of my existence.

My proposed change would make cleansing ire
useful to not only a fraction of weapons but all of them.

I’d like to see a Knockdown (1 sec) on a critical hit of Killshot. Having your only interrupt on a melee skill in a ranged weapon set is counter intuitive.
Plus if you’re hitting someone for 10K+ with a single attack, wouldn’t you expect it to knock them down or at least stun?

Make banners something you can carry on you and switch to w/ F2 skill.

Reviver’s Might has got to go! [1 stack of might for 12 sec on revive] (This is a Grandmaster trait, are you kidding me?)

Empowered @ 1% per boon is bad.

Thrill of the Kill, does anyone use this?

Engineer has a longer Rampage than Warrior, and better traits to support it. (Immune to condtions @ 25% health)

Shield Stance and Balanced Stance are not considered “stances”

GS Burst “Arcing Slice” is weak-sauce.

Skill coefficients on Rifle are too kitten low!

Off topic – Sigil of Demon Summoning only sigil you can’t double stack. Broken is so many ways.
