I don’t need players sitting out after the first mid wipe, or deliberately throw the game by staying in base all game because we’re facing a “premade team”.

We need a majority vote dishonor system!
Please, just 3/5 Votes to dishonor a player is all we need.

I agree, had three games in a row with the same troll on my team every time. The second we fell behind in points even for a few seconds he would just give up and stay in the base.

Had 2 instances of AFK players in Season 1 out of 300 matches, is it really that big of an issue that dev time needs to be spent creating a whole system and UI element for it?

Sounds good, but how would you protect innocent players against 3man premade trolls who would bully the rest of the team or a single player? As much as I really wish to deal with afkers somehow, this is probably not the way.

Perhaps they could add some kind of camp metter warning the player to actually join the fights or be dishonnored. Players standing on node would be excluded from this.

I don’t reall think so. The amount of people that are willing to AFK out would be a minority anyway and the community is relatively self policing with naming and shaming constant offenders.

If you AFK out of a game you should be ashamed of yourself for being a terrible sportsperson anyway IMO. I just report for botting, add to block list and move on with my life.

I think you give too much credit to the pvp community :p

It’s not enough to “report for botting” when it could take days for any dicipline action to take place. All the while, the person joins your team again and goes AFK after the first 5m start because of a team wipe…

Blocking and reporting is just an annoyance for Anet’s Dev team anyways… constantly looking at Reports and distinguishing proper actions just sounds like a waste of time and money on a management perspective. Set a self-managing Vote Afk program in place that every esport game has and you’re all set… let them dishonor themselves.
