Thank you all for being a huge part of our lifes over the passed 3 years. This game was an awesome adventure, met a lot of amazing people here and had great times in it.
Unfortunately due to Anets approach on “esports”, it just not fun anymore, ever since HoT launch me and the wife kept lying to ourselves saying “oh well its probably until the get it right”, but thats what we have been saying over the passed 3 years.
Balance is not something an mmo will ever have, from a business point of view its what keeps people playing, getting new builds, gear, testing things, etc (not in spvp of course), but since this game has no difference between pvp and pve, there you have it.
All we see around are reapers, eles, and scrappers, everyone else can go F* themselves. And the final straw was this … well i tried the english dictionary and there were no words to describe such a failed attempt at a matching system, we dont run in massive guilds, we dont care about being “youtube” or “twitch” famous, we dont believe we are pros or anything, we just solo Q or we party when we have the time to, and right now, its hopeless.
We are not even mad, just disappointed, Anet has done exactly the opposite of what they were supposed to in order to keep the game interesting, hopefully new players will have a great experience and be treated better after they have a few years (and money) invested in the game.

For now, we salute you GW2 community, hope to see you all in another game as it happened with WoW.

Sad, OP. I wish you luck. Sorry things have been a rough tumble recently and that the balance wasn’t quite there. If win ratios are a problem, maybe try in a week as divisions are slowly fleshed out. The new match making is most fair in terms of requiring skill to grow to the top, but unfortunately it also means the start of the season is a kittenaotikittenil people get to where they should be. If you want to keep trying, I suggest a week break and try once more.

The MM changes suggest there will be a lot of one sided games as the higher MMR players climb over the lower to reach the higher divisions. From a few games earlier, it does indeed seem to be the case. The "we" is probably a group on the losing side of one such one-sided match. Solution is to work at getting better - because this system can indicate to you whether you need to, while the previous system just put you against others at your level so you never really knew where you stood overall. Alternatively, wait for others to climb so that your division is left with only those closer to your MMR - i.e. wait your turn to climb. I’d hope people would choose the former.

Quitting, of course, is also an option.

Did you read the post? “We” is OP and his wife, and the problem isn’t a loss streak, it’s the direction the game has taken. I can’t really blame him either, the evade spam, cc spam and condi spam are at unprecedented levels across the board, and the balance team seems to think removing certain (largely unused) amulets is the way to go.

i dont know what made you so mad but ivw won 1 vs 2 on my guardian, necro and warrior in my 9 matches. Im 2 pips away from emerald and i have only done the 3 matches a day.

Take it slow and just try to have fun. The Esports factor shouldnt mean anything to you and this game trying to go epsorts gives incentive for Anet to get PvP right.

You didnt explain what made you so mad and if im to be honest, if ele are making you mad maybe its a L2P issue in which case maybe you and your wife needed to take a break.
