We need Server groups for the Mists

Bra (80 Guard), Fixie Bow (80 Ranger), Wcharr (80 Ele)
Xdragonshadowninjax (80 Thief)
Something like GW1’s districts would work really fine. Although if Anet does create this technology, they should consider moving it to PvE as well, at least for less popular explorable maps.

I would agree with that but even just groups of servers sharing the same mist would work, or just a group of districts that expands as more players join. 100 people in the mists 1 district open, 500 3 open or something like that.
It is just really painful right now, even more so for myself because I can’t join a team as a shiftworker I just can’t match schedules with a real “team” so I rely on pug groups.

If you made it. Would an international district be included?

First time I hear GW1 mentioned by a dev :o
ALL HAIL EVAN. The coming living story should have a PvP candidate, Evan Leshblade instead of Evon Gnashblade!

Is this even possible? I swear someone mentioned this on sotg and it was said that it wasn’t doable. Maybe this changed with guesting?
It would be kind of cool if they could route you to a district based on who you are facing that week in WvW or server rank, while allowing people to choose their district as well. Something like “Enter Heart of the Mists” with options: Auto, District 1 (Ranks 1-6), District 2 (Ranks 7-12), District 3 (13-18), District 4 (the rest). Where auto takes you to the appropriate district if there is space available. As a way to get know the folks you are killing in WvW, and there are a lot of people who play both sPvP and WvW. But I’m fine with any solution; I just hope the WvW borderland selection would work properly if its treated as an overflow, instead of Unknown Borderlands.
ranks shouldn’t matter

Q_Q People think of the mists as just a waiting area for WvW Q_Q
I wonder how much the ingame LFG would help with this issue for finding groups for the PvP. While I think districts are doable, it would only mask a population “issue”.

That will be too cool to be true…
Or are you just teasing us only to get our hopes up and crush them?
They just need to implement a good “looking for group”.
Theres no need for complete server overhaul, people will remain groupless, the correct fix to getting people to group is a good lfg system. There needs to be a worldwide one, not server wide and it affects all zones someone is in, because some people get tired of waiting for a pvp group and goto another zone but are still looking, but due to failure lfg system it just doesn’t work.
It should have been done from the start…a central mists should have been done, and I think would be something awesome for the near-future.
Undercoverism [UC]
With guesting people can already just guest to anvil if they want. Automating that would be nice for people that don’t know where people hang out but I think it would be a waste of resources to work on. Pvp has more important needs imo.
Shouldn’t the LFG tool address this issue?

No it wouldn’t, I want to be able to talk to people I might group with and not just be thrown in with some randoms who just join my team no matter their skill level.

That’s what Solo Queue is for.
All of your teammates are for the most part your own leaderboard ranking. Simply join solo and try to take people with you and form a team.

I’m not sure but I think your agreeing with me…

I want that for PvE too and including the European servers.
yes, please implement back the district system for both Mists (sPvP lobby) and PvE (all explorable instances, and cities) !!!
not sure why overflow is used instead of district. >.<

Yeah that would be ideal as most hotm are generally underpopulated as opposed to say – the home servers lion’s arch. Considering that pvp covers all the servers for the region when you enter a match anyhow, I doubt anyone will have a problem with it. It would also greatly aid in searching for a tpvp team/premade.
stop asking for pve stuff -_-

I guess it’s doable if they somehow use the Overflow stuff and just send everyone in HotM to the same overflow, with no player limit…

Like somebody said earlier you can already guest on anvil rock, this wouldn’t change anything and would be a waste of time.
The current lfg system isn’t the best because it only shows people lfg in the same zone, because of that nobody uses it. If you could go lfg anywhere people would use it.
This game relies too much on 3rd parties.
3rd party dragon timer
3rd party gwlfg.com
3rd party pvp tournaments
3rd party leaderboard that shows history and everything
all this 3rd party kitten just tells me that the developers don’t do a good job, pretty much everything they do someone else does better.
They should handover the game coding and let the 3rd party make it better in every given way.
This thread based on matchmaking/grouping? Well I bet you a 3rd party could come up with a GOOD algorthim in a day and problem solved. They wouldn’t have to come out with several “big solo que patches”.
