Who here has noticed the bug where you beat a Guardian and then get hit by his attack even when he’s not around! Vee Wee beat a Guardian 1v1 and then got hit by a Guardian greatsword slice even though nobody was around Vee Wee! Vee Wee was literally not in the vicinity of any allies or enemies! This has happened to Vee Wee many times now, but this time it led to Vee Wee’s death! Vee Wee was at low health! Then the out of combat regen kicked in but then it stopped because Vee Wee got hit by a ghostly Guardian greatsword slice! Because Vee Wee’s health regen was stopped in its tracks, a Thief came in and slayed Vee Wee! It was a fight Vee Wee would have won if Vee Wee had more health! Please help Anet!

This is not exclusive to guardian though, but I’m not sure what the cause is.

^ Yes, and I hope they fix it sometimes. It mostly happens to me after respawn.

I believe it doesn’t actually do damage, it simply shows a figure which had hit you previously. At least, that’s been my experience.

yup, exactly. doesn’t even show up in the combat log, doesn’t get you in combat, does no damage, just a display bug, i guess. but annoying as hell. never realized it stops ooc regen, but then again, i’m either full life or dead when i come out of a confrontation

It’s happened to me before as well, I’d have to test it but it’s possible it was from Retaliation?
Edit: As Harbinger below me said it isn’t always against the Guardian profession. Though it is always after a fight.

I’ve had things like this happen before, just not against Guardians. The fight will be long over, and then out of nowhere I take a 2.5k hit.

Vee Wee!, it is a new feature exclusive to sPvP only.

I got hit by a mesmer greatsword auto attack about 10 seconds after he died (possibly at the exact time he was respawning). And I was standing on his “far” :/

Tbh I can’t remember if I took any actual damage or was it just a display bug, I just remember it made that unique sound mesmer greatsword auto attack makes.

u see dmg numbers and a slice animatiion, it actually doesnt dmg u or doesnt put u in combat, its pretty annoying and makes u panic for a sec tho
