Guild Wars 2

In a few matches over the past week or so, for some reason I have been getting a kitten ton of lag. Sometimes my ping spikes up to over 1k when normally it is around 50. Sometimes I’ll have normal or slightly higher ping but my game lags harder the when I have the 1k ping. I know its not my internet because I almost always have youtube on and it never buffers during the lag. It is only the game that lags. Is it just because of all the people doing unranked since no ranked and servers are taking a dump?

This isn’t how the internet works. You can’t compare lag in gw2 to no lag in other games or YouTube. Anets servers are in Seattle. YouTube has servers all over and the other games you play most likely are not in Seattle. You can run a ping plotter test (free to download) and put ncsoft.com in the search. It should show you where the problem is. Feel free to post a picture of the results if you need help.
