Weird: Sometimes I miss being a PvP Healer
I miss having a pocket healer myself, but for selfish reasons. It just doesn’t seem right to not have a healer as a warrior.
Healing in GW2 is by doing avoidance, damage mitigation and picking downed player up. I guess you can get a pocket guardian/bunker-type to follow you around.

There were perhaps a few god like gameplay moments that were facilitated by healers in my years of MMO pvp but such goodwill is out-weighed by all other times they’ve kitten me off to no end.
Seriously, pugging in games where healers make a huge difference is unbearable. A bunch of uncoordinated dps and some good healers makes for very long stagnant battles where barely anything happens. Or your side has “DPS” spec healers which results in your team getting annihilated.

I would like to see heal/support roles(not necessarily dedicated healers). I hate how selfish this game has become. Bunkers only really protect themselves.
They could change it so healing power scales differently for allies/party members.
So let’s say you’re a warrior using Vigorous Shouts that heal for 1k normally. If you were to stack healing power the same shout might heal you for 2k and your party for 3k.
The problem with support builds before is that they were able to heal themselves too much. Making healing power scale differently for outgoing heals keeps the general level of self-survivability the same, but turns healing power into a stat that might actually be worth a kitten
I think Anet needs to promote better group function A large part of this game revolves around individual skill. Allowing for support builds, the importance of individual skill is smeared a little bit, which I think would be a big step in the right direction for sPvP.

Well venoms auras and various other group support builds do exist you just rarely see them played. the only issue i have with what your saying is that by pairing your idea of support with a bunker would lead to some sort of super bunker.
But actually I agree with your central ideas. Support should be allowed more of a viable role.
