You are playing a game with friends and then all of a sudden you get sent to the other team because of auto balancing. You look at the scoreboard and someone with zero points is on the winning team causing this auto balance. It’s time to fix it. Instead of random, just use these two logic points.

1. Person who has been on the team the shortest amount of time moves to the other team
2. If everyone has been playing the same amount of time (or if there is no way to determine #1), the lowest score moves to the other team.

Problem solved

1) You get the win bonus no matter what if you’re moved.
2) Why would you move the possibly worst player to the other team in the situation where everyone has been in the game the same time? That just means more players will rage.

i think high scoring players have higher chance to be sent to the other team.

and the player who get sent over still gets a win if his / her original team won.

i think we need to drastically increase the auto balance volunteer bonus if we want people to volunteer to move to the losing team.

instead of 5 glory and 5 rank points to volunteer for the auto balance.

make it 50 glory and 50 rank points for volunteering.
that would be attractive enough for some people.

Custom Arena or you can try team queue where winning is actually a goal that most hotjoin players don’t strive for.

That’s why I clarified if everyone has been in the game the same amount of time, which was your scenario. Even then I still clarified “possibly” since certain roles don’t accumulate many points.

Bottom line, you win no matter what if you get swapped, so there is no reason to care.

Yup. It’s always been the case. Volunteer if you get the chance, most people don’t know that and don’t do it.

aaah, in the past, being on the “winning” team tend to have a “better” chance to score more personal points, since in the past having more personal points directly gives us more glory and rank points.

now, glory and rank points are fixed.
it is now so much more rewarding to volunteer and receive the end match bonuses.

in the past, i noticed that my PvP monthly wins will +1 if I volunteer, i thought because my previous team won and that I am still considered a previous team member. i never thought auto balance volunteers gets a win no matter which team won.

You keep a stacked team stack which defeats the entire purpose of rebalancing. That’s the downside.

when I hotjoin with friends and I get moved to the other team I use that as a perfect oppurtunity to killshot them. In fact, I’ll normally join the other team JUST to killshot them. Lighten up, it’s a hotjoin.

What really ruins hotjoin is the skill disparity. It’s where most new players go yet experienced players literally stack to one team to farm them. :<

lol what ruins hot join is friends on the same team coordinating. seen 2 thief done this. you can imagine what they can do
