At the end of each pvp game I got rank and glory. I know you can use glory to buy stuff, but what are the rank points for?

Rank points are the points that go toward your pvp rank.

It looks like to me that glory is used to rank up. Is that not true?

There is a currency glory and glory that goes toward your rank.

Rank points are there to show how much time you spend on the game and how much you brainlessly grind. If you’re rank 50+ already you can be proud of having the “no lifer/gimmick build abuser title!”

Completely the opposite from GW1, where rank meant skill, as you could only get it by winning (mostly getting high number of consecutive wins) and not grinding.

glory is the currency you use to buy chests and other things from the vendor, similar to karma.

rank points are basically like total glory. You can’t spend them, but how much you have will determine your rank (which is basically your pvp level). Glory boosters don’t work on rank points, though.
