What are these unkillable Dagger Eles?

Healer/support Staff Elementalists are unkillable 1 vs 1, they are not glassy at all. Dps Staff eles are indeed a free kill.
But i was wondering what these super though dagger ele builds look like, since celestial is no longer availible? I mean i do next to no dmg to them (especially no condi dmg) while they can still kill me with ease.

your a condi player….
Eles have the Most condi removals in the game….
the only way you gonna kill an ele with condition dmg if you BURST him down with your conditions while cc ing him…
otherwise they laugh at conditions…. like its not even there….

It is very likely they have a lot of healing and condition cleanse to sustain themselves.
You will never kill them if you just mindlessly attack. You need to calculate their CD and burst at the right time. I can guarantee you they are not tanky in terms of defensive stats.
If you don’t have strong burst and time your CCs well, you aren’t likely to kill a decent d/x ele in 1v1. They’re fairly tanky and have strong direct heals as well as cleansing.
The meta build uses the mender amulet (major power/healing, minor precision/vitality) and is very heavy on cleanses, meaning you need to really bring the damage to kill them on your own or they will just keep healing and cleansing through your damage.
The meta build uses d/f, which has very low damage and isn’t much of a threat in 1v1. However, d/d has the burst and CC to be a threat to less survivable builds. Be especially careful not to get caught in a lightning overload field as they will try to trap you in it with CC and then burst you down.
No class should be completely immune to conditions at all that isn’t even counter play at that point. Same with mesmer. They should have to dodge those condi. Still conditions should also not be able to kill a player with one burst application. Like a warrior who stacks on condi in one hit and can take a player from full with one single hit. That punishes builds without condi clear allot.
